Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1365619 By Suze Pratten. By Suze Pratten. Arranged by Suze Pratten. A Cappella,Celtic,Folk,Irish. 4 pages. Suze Pratten #949954. Published by Suze Pratten (A0.1365619). This is an SATB setting of an excerpt from a Gerard Manley Hopkins poem called Inversnaid. I found the words fashioned in concrete on the wall of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh and was very taken by them. Apparently, Hopkins went on a daytrip to the small township of Inversnaid on the eastern bank of Loch Lomond in 1881 and he wrote the poem while there. The song is written in two sections which can be layered and arranged as desired. I have suggested an arrangement on the score but feel free to change this - my only caution is to make sure you include some 'light' and 'shade' in the arrangement...it is not meant to be sung with all parts blazing for the whole length of the song!! Enjoy  - and long live the wilderness yet!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1225384 By Chris Tomlin. By Chris Tomlin, John Newton, Louie Giglio, and Traditional American Melody. Arranged by Dan Garrett. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 11 pages. Daniel Garrett #821460. Published by Daniel Garrett (A0.1225384). This contemporary SATB divisi with piano arrangement provides much of the sound of today's professional a cappella renditions, but in a more approachable format for moderately advanced to advanced high school, church and community choirs. Written 250 years ago, the poetry and music of Amazing Grace make it one of the most recognizable and beloved hymns of all time. In 2006, Chris Tomlin was asked to provide the title composition for the movie, Amazing Grace, a docudrama about William Wilberforce's efforts in Parliament to end the British transatlantic slave trade. Inspired by the movie's subject, Tomlin added a powerful refrain, My Chains Are Gone, and a transcendent new verse. Refrain: My chains are gone, I've been set free, My God, my Savior has ransomed me. And like a flood, His mercy reigns. Unending love, Amazing Grace. Verse: The Earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine, But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1173627 Composed by Dave Gardner. Arranged by Dave Gardner. Contest,Festival,Historic,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Octavo. 12 pages. D. M. Gardner Music #773774. Published by D. M. Gardner Music (A0.1173627). Performed by the National Youth Choir of Scotland for the Scottish Parliament's 20th Anniversary Celebration also attended by Her Majesty the Queen.  The Bonnie Banks O' Loch Lomon', or simply Loch Lomond for short, is a well-known traditional Scottish song first published in 1841 in Vocal Melodies of Scotland. The song prominently features Loch Lomond, the largest Scottish loch, located between the counties of Dunbartonshire and Stirlingshire. In Scotland, the song is often the final piece of music played during an evening of revelry (a dance party or dinner, etc.).For this interpretation, the song is being sung by a soldier who chooses to die to save the life of his friend. But with that decision, his true sacrifice is revealed, as he will not only lose his life, but his true love as well. Each of the main verses are sung to her. However, his refrain then turns back toward his friend whom he reassures by reminding him that they will both go back to Scotland...That he (his soul) will go on the low road and get back to Scotland first, whereas his friend and brother-in-arms would take the high road home that linked London and Edinburgh upon his release. To learn more about the composer, please visit https://www.dmgardner.com.
