Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.954967 Composed by Jim Bosse. Arranged by Jim Bosse with Charles Rann. Concert,Contemporary,World. Octavo. 13 pages. Jim Bosse #4579729. Published by Jim Bosse (A0.954967). Suite Grandkids contains six pieces originally scored for classical guitar trio, one for each of the grandkids that I had at that time (2005). I decided to write lyrics for each movement, creating a version for voice (male and/or female) and classical guitar, then expanding it to this version for SATB Choir with classical guitar and percussion. The percussion parts are easy and meant to be performed by members of the choir. The picture of my grandkids looks like a poster for cultural diversity. Their varied genetic backgrounds presented an opportunity to compose an eclectic suite with each piece presenting a style representative of their unique genetic heritage. Performance time for the entire suite is 23 minutes but each piece could stand alone on a concert program. This download is all parts for the second movement, Analysias Margarita. Performance time is 2 minutes and 45 seconds. Demand level is mostly intermediate with a few advanced sections. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.782530 Composed by Tyler Merideth. Christian,Contemporary,Easter,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 7 pages. Tyler Merideth #4810437. Published by Tyler Merideth (A0.782530). Agnus Dei is the tenth movement from a larger work entitled Reconciliation, a set of 12 Latin prayers. Each movement takes it's inspiration from individual postcards containing pictures of St. Michael's Cathedral in Coventry, England. When performed in sequence, Reconciliation can serve as a worship service however, the individual movements also can stand alone. Although the tenth movement in Reconciliation, Agnus Dei was the initial small seed catalyst that grew into the idea to write a 12 movement work. The idea came to me when I first visited Coventry Cathedral and saw a statue entitled Reconciliation by Josefina de Vasconcellos. The statue depicts two figures kneeling in an embrace. What makes this statue so powerful is that the placement of the statue is among the ruins of the original Cathedral after the bombing by German Aircraft in WWII. I immediately sketched an idea for this movement on the bus after my college choir rehearsed in the cathedral. When I returned to the United States, I wrote a rough vocal line and string orchestra accompaniment. The composition then lay dormant for more than a decade with no major changes. It was only this past week (almost fifteen years later) that I rewrote the accompaniment for piano and cleaned up the choral part. The opening unison vocal line can be timeshared among the voice parts. Since it covers a wide range, let the lower voices sing what range they sing well and the higher voices reciprocate. Please feel free to vary the tempo with rubato throughout the piece to allow for proper breath support. Do not be shy leaning into the dissonances found in the suspensions as the ultimate resolution in the grant us peace

The creation of 'Canadian Streams' was inspired by two important milestones – the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation and the 60th anniversary of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Canada. For this initiative, the composer has chosen a poem written by the father of Canadian poetry, Charles G. D. Roberts. The text portrays the countless spectacular Canadian rivers that were the ā€œwitnessesā€ and ā€œstorytellersā€ of the great, beautiful, and welcoming country’s rich history.About the ComposerVahram Sarkissian is an Armenian-Canadian composer, conductor, and singer currently residing in Montreal, Canada. His writing style represents a musical palette ranging from influences by V century Armenian medieval chant to previously unreported endogenous vocal extended techniques. Sarkissian's music has been performed in dozens of countries including the UK, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, and the USA.Ā His arrangement of an Armenian ancient chant Great Mystery has been included in the Oxford University Press anthology World Carols for Choirs and has been recorded by the BBC Singers. Sarkissian's instrumental work Hunting the Hunter was premiered under his baton at Carnegie Hall in 2012. His composition Joyful Light for choir has been performed more than a hundred times around the world.Vahram Sarkissian is also active as a lecturer. SATB chorus & piano - Grade 2 - Digital Download SKU: IZ.VMW193 Composed by Richard Sorce. Score. 8 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #VMW193. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.VMW193). 6.75 x 10.5 in inches. In 2015, Fr. Paulo Tanzini, former pastor of Church of the Assumption in Emerson, NJ, commissioned me to write a piece for the fiftieth anniversary of the building to be celebrated in mid-August of the same year during the recognition of Mary's Assumption. Although this was to be a fiftieth year jubilee, the parish had been in existence for many decades prior, and many of the choir members had been parishioners since the construction of the new building and some even before.Myidea was to ask the choir members to participate in this piece by expressing their thoughts regarding their devotion to Mary, and from their writing I would assemble their words into a lyric.Initially, A Prayer to Mary was composed as a unison/octave setting, after which I arranged it for SATB with piano accompaniment. Most important in the performance of this piece is to approach it with a generous amount of expression and rubato in several areas so that the meanings of the individual lyric phrases become meaningful and not just words.I have included chord symbols in the score for those who wish to personalize their own accompaniments; however, chord symbols do not, and in several cases cannot capture the exact content of the accompaniment. It would be beneficial to analyze the content of the written accompaniment before assuming that the chord symbols reflect the exact harmony.A Prayer To Mary can be appropriately performed during Mother's Day, the celebration of The Assumption of Mary in mid-August, as a communion meditation or any time during which special devotions are warranted.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1046912 Composed by Oswaldo Aquique. A Cappella,Sacred. Octavo. 11 pages. Oswaldo Aquique #651413. Published by Oswaldo Aquique (A0.1046912). The Stabat Mater dolorosa is a Christian hymn to the Blessed Virgin Mary, which portrays her suffering as Jesus Christ's mother during His crucifixion. The hymn is commonly performed during the liturgy on the memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows. The poem is attributed to the Franciscan Friar Jacopone da Todi († 1306), although recent research indicates the Stabat Mater dolorosa was sung at a Dominican convent in Bologna, Italy as early as the 13th century. This work uses two different musical themes: A first one that uses chromaticism to represent the suffering and despair described by the poem, and a second one which is simpler in nature, to create balance in between them. Each theme repeats alternatively, with a different treatment on each reprise.
