A unique choral arrangement for SATB voices, of Pink Floyd's rock classic.

Featuring compositional elements combined with the melodic and harmonic familiarity of the superlative Pink Floyd recording, plus aspects from the 'Gregorian' cover version.

This score and format was commissioned for improvised piano, violin solo and electric bass, but may be performed with piano accompaniment alone. The opening has been transcribed from 'Gregorian' however the piano part has then been left for improvisation as personal creativity is important to the essence of this work.

This is one of the epic songs from Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here CD. In the original key, this song is quite interesting considering the simplicity of the song. Performance notes: This arrangement as all the measures of the original. The beginning of the song has a lot of rhythmic bass with a lot of machine sound effects. You could have your performers use their imagination to make sounds from their instruments to mimic the machine sounds. If you want to make the song shorter, I would suggest starting at measure 6, right after the 5th ending. Duration = 5:47.
