This short setting of the Sanctus from the Mass makes the most of the six voices. It is loosely based on the Gregorian chant Mass XVIII (traditionally sung during Lent, Advent and at funerals). The characteristic opening falling phrase is layered to create rich cluster chords that are surprisingly easy to sing (and enjoyable).
