Kevin G. Pace #1069399. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1492719). Beautiful, sacred choral music for SATB choir.  Music composed by Kevin G. Pace.  Text by Mark R. Fotheringham.Text:Upon the cross at CalvaryMy Lord was mocked for all to seeThey pierced His hands and feet and sideMy Savior softly there replied,Father, forgive all these their sin.More loving words have never been. One day His forgiveness we may seek.On our behalf He'll speak. He gave His life upon the cross,Refining gold from clay and dross,Loving enough to purge each stain,That we might find our home again. Father, forgive all these their sin.More loving words have never been. One day His forgiveness we may seek.On our behalf He'll speak.Risen in glory from the tomb,He has defeated mortal doom. Before our God on judgment day,We hope to hear our Savior say, Father, forgive all these their sin.More loving words have never been. That day His forgiveness we will seek.On our behalf He'll speak.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.965556 Composed by Ron Anderson. A Cappella,Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 9 pages. Ron James Anderson #5994791. Published by Ron James Anderson (A0.965556). Wilt Thou Forgive? is a setting of the John Donne poem, A Hymn to God the Father. John Donne (1572 – 1631) was one of the greatest of the metaphysical poets in England, a group that included George Herbert, Andrew Marvell, and possibly John Milton. An Anglican priest with a less than perfect moral reputation, Donne expressed through his poetry (notably, the Holy Sonnets) the incongruities of human attempts at living the Christian life.In the present poem, the speaker reveals his struggles with sin-the sin he was born with, the sin he commits daily, the sin through which he influences others to sin, and the sin he has quit for a short while, only to take up again for many more years. He confesses yet another sin: the fear that he will perish on the shore, presumably to die with unforgiven sins, consigned to eternal damnation. His desperate plea is that God’s Son shall shine as he shines now and heretofore. If God answers this prayer, he will fear no more, and will know that all his sins, including the sin of fear, are finally forgiven. This musical setting uses subtle inflection of rhythm and meter to mirror the text, aiming for natural prosody of speech and expressive accentuation. Melodic contours emphasize important words, while harmonic placement projects the various moods throughout the poem. The key relationships involve mostly shifts of minor 3rds; starting in D minor, the piece moves through several keys, reaching its final statement in D major. A variety of textures maintains aural interest: clusters and close harmony, full divisi chords, and an imitative passage painting the words, won others to sin, and made my sin their door. A series of shimmering major chords brings the work to a close, declaiming the words, Thy Son shall shine as he shines now and heretofore, and, I fear no more.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1394475 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. 10 pages. Kevin G. Pace #977960. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1394475). A powerful choral composition.  Music by Kevin G. Pace.  Text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  Inspired by the words in Matthew: . . . forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. (Matthew 6:12).Text:When you feel resentment, jealousy, or strife,Take the time to ponder motives in your life. You will be astonished as you pray to God . . .How He helps to cleanse ideas you once thought. When injustice enters quickly in your soul,When hostility and hatred take ahold,Know that God can change your views from dark to light. As your heart is softened, He will give new sight. When it’s difficult to reconcile a hurt,And it’s hard to love when others have been curt,See the Savior as your guide. . . He lends His grace. As you pardon others, you can see His face.Chorus:Oh, forgive and you will be forgiv’n.You can gain a cherished place in heav’n.As an heir of Father, you will have a part . . .He will give to you a purified, new heart.

Kevin G. Pace #980616. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1397300). A gorgeous choral composition with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mark R. Fotheringham.Text:Jesus was a humble man, who prayed to God each day. On His knees before the throne of grace, He sought the way. He spoke as one who knew His God, both faith and knowledge sure, Reaching out to seek His will with heart and spirit pure. His simple words belied the strength and power of his prayer, Which e'er sought to lift and bless all others who were there. His voice would bring on tears of joy from those who knew The Son, Asking Father's blessing that His friends with Him be One. He might ask for miracles to heal or raise the dead. When compassion filled his heart, to prayer His heart was lead. His gratitude would overflow and God's pow'r was revealed. Giving glory unto God, the gift on Him was sealed. May the prayers of Christ be heard and pondered in each heart, Helping us to lift and bless, in service do our part. Then lift our voices unto God, His will to seek and do. Humble prayer, like Christ our Lord's, will lead us straight and true.

Pace #786565. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1186940). A stunning choral arrangement with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mark R. Fotheringham.Text:Gethsemane, garden lovely. Moonlight filters through o'erhanging trees,There revealing our blessed Savior, having fallen down upon His knees.Pleading May this cup, Father, from me pass. But Thy will be done at last.Golgotha’s Hill, cold and lonely, whispers still of sacrifice and love,Where the Savior gave up His life for us and for those who waited up above.Though He suffered sore, He forgave the more, and thus opened heaven's door.Hewn from the stone, tomb of sorrow, held the body of The Crucified. Now His mortal work was completed, and His love for all men satisfied.Though he died for men, yet He rose again, and repentance justified.Long, dusty road to Emmaus. Two disciples met the risen Lord.Sacred scriptures there He expounded, showing Jesus was indeed The Word. And His holy voice, led them to rejoice, from the promises restored.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.719728 Composed by Various. Arranged by Curtis Hanson. Sacred. Octavo. 11 pages. Curtis Hanson #4573003. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719728). As years come and go, one increasingly recalls memories of earlier times. One of the most vivid and cherished memories I have while growing up is of Sunday mornings, going to church, sitting in the same pew each week with my grandmother, hearing and singing the beautiful hymns of our faith, and then returning home to the aroma of beef slowly roasting in the oven. My father directed the church choir, my mother and older brothers sang in the choir, so the wonderful music of our faith was instilled in me from an early age. This medley, and others in the series, are arrangements of many of my favorite hymns from those early years, many of which have been lost in more recent editions. For this series, I have elected to use the older texts as that is the way they were first written and the way I first learned them. There is a reverence and beauty in the language enriching the vocal/choral tone which, I believe, is lost in contemporary, conversational, or politically correct syntax. I shudder to think of the day when a penitential phrase such as Hear thou my prayer, O Lord is rendered as Hey, God-dude, listen up - I'm talkin' atcha! I have also opted not to include the many wonderful hymns and carols which are associated with the major festivals of Christmas and Easter as those are commonly found in other collections. A caveat: I have no delusions, and I offer no pretenses, that these settings are great art. They are simply expressions of faith which I hope may bring a small measure of joy to other church musicians. The general concept of each medley is to present the hymn, often in its original chorale form, and then vary its harmony or texture. The hymns in this set include This Is My Father's World, I Love to Tell the Story, and Faith of Our Fathers.

Published by Con Spirito Music (A0.1493730). Sing, O Sing, This Blessed Morn is a hymn commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Written by Anglican bishop, scholar, author, and poet Christopher Wordsworth (1807-1885), it was published in his collection, The Holy Year; or Hymns for Sundays and Holy-Days, and Other Occasions (1862). Rather than a retelling of the Nativity story, the hymn is more a statement of beliefs about the nature and work of Christ, echoing elements of the Nicene Creed in phrases such as: God from God, and Light from LightGod himself comes down from heav'nOne with us in human birthGod with us ... deigns forever now to dwellborn for us that we born again in him may bewith thy Spirit may [we] be ... with the Father and with theeThis joyful, medium-easy setting of Sing, O Sing, This Blessed Morn for SATB voices and organ is mostly unison, with SATB on the first half of stanzas 3 and 5, and on the concluding alleluias.Voices realized by Cantamus (https://cantamus.app/); organ realized by NotePerformer (https://www.noteperformer.com)©Copyright 2024 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP).
