GRACE DARLING was known as the ‘Heroine of the Farne Islands’ off the Northumberland coast where she lived with her family in the Longstone Lighthouse. She became a household name when in 1838 along with ther father William Darling rowed out in a North Sea gale to rescue 9 passengers from the capsized paddle steamer Forfarshire. Honoured by royalty, her fame was short-lived as she died of Tuberculosis in 1842 aged only 27. It can be sung by a choir (separate mens' and womens' parts) and/or sung by a congregation. Here you have an arrangement with a definite Renaissance feel. I can hear finger cymbals ringing a counter rhythm throughout (sorry, I didn't write it in, but I'm sure you can figure it out). The parts are open and airy and the song has a light, joyous feel to it. While the instruments are published as violin, cello and drone (piano, etc) this should be playable by any pairings of treble and bass instruments that play in C. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed putting together the arrangement! PH Jan2017.

Then one day when Romeo must text his Julietta just to say I luv ya yeah I luv ya so much but then she rings back to tell him that it's all over she's met a nicer lad from Folkestone or Dover (It's all over it's all over lad from Dover) so he just rings to all of his pals and calls her a slag! and all the people on the tram hear the show while our pretty city folk live all on their mobile then suddenly the battery's flat as a skate and Romeo can not ring his mate he's sorry that he called her slag in spring time he can't ring her he can't ring his Julietta sorry now in spring.

Published by Colby Aguilar (A0.1028777). Here is a wonderful of arrangement of Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D, but in minor. Various minor keys, that is. There are four key changes throughout the duration of the song, and is composed of 11 parts.With the parts, the choir will have to stagger breathe throughout the piece. The violin that's an octave up, put that back down the octave, and change the harp to a piano, or violin and cello respectively. Sorry for the inconvenience, but now that I've learnt more about the harp, I'm making a proper, separate composition.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Due to the level of intensity, I advise against beginner students, but may be played with as a starting or finale experienced personnel- these are just suggestions, of course, though. The piece is also very lengthy- at a time approximate of 10 minutes, and so should be performed as a starting or finale piece, but again, at your disposal. As are the dynamics, make the piece your own.
