Irvin Berlin’s “SNOW� from White Christmas was arranged for the Collins Classic Carolers Christmas 2004, my wife’s Christmas Caroling group, as a request from a Client. It sat in my Finale file not being able to be published until I found that it could now see the light of day thanks to ArrangeMe. The performance here is by Rhapsody of Plano West Sr. High, Plano, Texas. Sarah Council, my daughter in law, is the director. Since the Collins Classic Carolers sang a cappella as they entertained each Christmas, this arrangement is for SATB, a cappella. Written 250 years ago, the poetry and music of Amazing Grace make it one of the most recognizable and beloved hymns of all time. In 2006, Chris Tomlin was asked to provide the title composition for the movie, Amazing Grace, a docudrama about William Wilberforce's efforts in Parliament to end the British transatlantic slave trade. Inspired by the movie's subject, Tomlin added a powerful refrain, My Chains Are Gone, and a transcendent new verse.
