A Glenn Miller classic, depicting a train ride from New York to Chattanooga, Tennessee, passing through Baltimore and North Carolina. It starts with the old steam train slowly pulling out of the station, then rattling along with one of the great big band tunes. This arrangement includes optional train whistles and cabasa, played by the singers to enhance the railway experience. It ends with two cheeky chords for the final whistle, Whoo Whoo. It's suitable for any SSAATB choir and I have also done it with individual pro singers. The tenor part is low enough to be sung by baritones. Older audiences remember the tune. Daniel White is currently a DMA candidate at the University of Utah in Choral Conducting, including secondary areas in Music Education and Vocology. He holds a BA in Music from Eastern Oregon University, an MM in Choral Conducting from Portland State University, and also attended Cardiff University in Wales where he completed intensive Welsh language programs. White retired from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in 2017 after nearly ten years of membeship; he has also sang with the Utah Symphony Chorus, Utah Opera Chorus, and Cor CF1 in Wales. He holds teaching licenses in Utah, taught in the public education system for several years, and welcomes any commissions, recorded performances of his works, and questions! Performance Suggestions: With a capable choir this could/should be performed a capella with interludes by a button accordion. 
A melodica, or flute/pennywhistle could be substituted for the accordion, or a piano/synth. 
On the recording there are also guitars and bodhráns - an Irish hand-drum.
