Choral Choir (Mixed) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1023429 Composed by Theresa Koon. A Cappella,Contemporary,Folk,Holiday,Patriotic,World. Octavo. 8 pages. Theresa Koon #5359431. Published by Theresa Koon (A0.1023429). The Statue of Liberty, with its famous inscription of Emma Lazarus’ poem The New Colossus, is the inspiration behind the choral work, Mother of Exiles. Eleven of the sonnet's fourteen lines have been set for SATB a capella choir, (with some doubling), including the familiar Give me your tired, your poor, section. When the text refers to the Statue as Mother of Exiles, sixteen foreign language translations of that title are overlapped in layers of increasing rhythmic complexity.  The music contrasts sections of taut dissonance between expansive phrases of harmonious warmth.  Mother of Exiles is a perfect vehicle for high school, college and professional choirs seeking an inspirational anthem of compassion in times of need.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818372 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Stephen R Dalrymple. Arranged by Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Sacred. 29 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6709747. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818372). Hope of the World: 13 Feed the Flock for Slaughter original song arranged for SATB choir and piano by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ sequenced by the composer♫ music © 1999 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ presentation © 2024 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ based on Zechariah 11, John 10, and Matthew 27♫ The Judah of Zechariah was marred by exiles who struggled greatly to obey God’s law. Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai and Malachi contain many passages that point out the sin of the people. Joshua, the current high priest, is pictured in one of Zechariah’s visions as wearing filthy apparel, desperately needing cleansing. Sheep in Bible times are grown more for their wool and milk, not so much for the slaughterhouse. Zechariah likens the leadership of Judah to shepherds and flock owners who are primarily concerned with selling meat. But there is a good shepherd who intervenes to lead the flock. He is mistreated by the owners and the shepherds and paid the price of a slave for his efforts. The good shepherd, casts the price on the floor for the potter.♫ Zechariah is looking ahead to a time when the religious leaders of Judah were short on compassion and the needs of people. Jesus called Himself the Good Shepherd. We see several parallel’s here in John 10. He called the religious leaders of His day, thieves and robbers, and predators. Judas Iscariot was paid the price of a slave to betray Jesus, which he threw to the ground, but was scooped to purchase a Potter’s Field!♫ Includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir part on 2 staves 3) full score for 10 inch tablet♫  (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818371 By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Arranged by Stephen R Dalrymple. Sacred. Octavo. 32 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6709745. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818371). Hope of the World: 12 Your King Comes Riding original song for SATB choir and piano by Stephen R Dalrymple (with optional parts for Shofar or Trumpet)   sequenced by the composer music © 1999 Stephen R Dalrymple recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple presentation © 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple based on Zechariah 9, Psalm 118, and Matthew 21 ♫ Many of the predictions of Zechariah are futuristic, looking far ahead in history. There was no king of Judah in Zechariah’s day. The former exiles who had returned to Judah were under the authority of the Persians. Any king would have to be authorized by the higher secular authority. But Zechariah foresees a king who will enter Jerusalem, riding on a donkey. ♫ The choice of the animal here is important. The donkey is the beast of burden of the common man. (Analogous to an economic or dilapidated automobile.) Horses were primarily used by soldiers; something like a victor riding into town in a tank. Mules (Jewish law forbade the breeding of hybrid animals) were the choice of the wealthy. In Judea, they were evidently imported. David had Solomon ride into Jerusalem on his mule (something like a sports car.) But Zechariah sees Messiah will presenting Himself as king riding the transportation of the common person. On Psalm Sunday, about a week before Jesus’ death, the crowds quoted Zechariah 9 and Psalm 118 as Jesus offered Himself to the nation as king. ♫ Hope of the World is made of 2 suites of songs that present messianic prophecies from the Old Testament that are referenced in the New Testament. The first 8 songs center on the birth of Christ, the last 9, Christ’s life and passion. ♫ Includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir part on 2 staves 3) optional shofur part 4) optional trumpet part 5)full score for 10 inch tablet ♫ (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. Concert Band & optional SATB Choir - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CBW2210 Composed by Michael Francis Smith. Score and Parts. 58 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CBW2210. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBW2210). 6.75 x 10.5 inches. Some years back, during a series of retreats, prayerful reflection on the “servantpassages from the book of the prophet Isaiah (Is. 40-53) coalesced into what wouldbecome an eight-movement cantata entitled: The Servant of Yahweh.“How Beautiful on the Mountain represents movement three of that larger work - aLenten cantata highlighting key aspects of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, viewed through the lens of the aforementioned servant passages.“How Beautiful on the Mountain (from Is.52 ff) attempts to capture in two sections thejoyful vision of God's people being led back to Zion from exile in Babylon. Israel'sdeliverer is near, proclaiming peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, leadingIsrael back to Jerusalem. The New Testament likewise speaks of deliverance frombondage – bondage from sin, and healing of the breach between God and humanity. It isthrough the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus that this deliverance isaccomplished. In both cases, there is cause for great joy.Musically, movement from the more subdued preface (part 1) to the festive Latin groove(part 2) conveys the transition from journey to jubilation. The present rendition, written for SATB choir and piano with optional flute and oboemarks the latest evolution in the work's arrangement history. The originalaccompaniment included guitar, bass, drum, flute and electric violin. However, in 2009,through a collaboration with bassist/arranger, Perry Orfanella, a full orchestral score wasdeveloped. Most recently, in order to make the piece more accessible to church choirsand other choral groups, Phil Sims (musician/arranger and partner of Imagine MusicPublishing) reduced the orchestral score and completed the present arrangement forpiano and SATB choir.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.885599 Composed by Michael E. Ekbladh. 20th Century,Contemporary. Octavo. 16 pages. Michael E. Ekbladh #43639. Published by Michael E. Ekbladh (A0.885599). The sorrow and lament experienced by the prophet Jeremias as he witnessed the exile of the Jewish nation into Babylonian captivity is palpable in this text from Lamentations 1:12. These words are often used in Christian tradition on Holy Saturday. It’s mournfulness stands in sharp contrast to the exultation of the resurrection; surexit. The image evoked in this setting is that of a crowd, mourning at the foot of the cross on which Jesus had just died. The listener: a person simply passing through this terrible scene, surrounded by cries of sorrow. A split choir configuration will provide the best aural effect with soprano/alto on one side and tenor/bass opposite.
