Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.969748 Composed by Kerry Barnes --- British Female Composer born 1962. Christmas,Contemporary. Octavo. 7 pages. Kerry barnes #4729505. Published by kerry barnes (A0.969748). Dicken's It's Christmas! A fun Christmas choral piece for any choir to sing!! Piano part 'really easy' too!! Very playful and festive. Based on the Christmas stories of Charles Dickens ...eg  A Christmas Carol with Ebeneezer and Jacob, Tiny Tim etc. Very catchy chorus in true Gilbert and Sullivan style!  Lots of 'unison' singing with NO harmonies to battle with! The chorus is men and women in Call and Response mode. Other Dickensian characters include Fagin, Nancy, Bill, Bullseye, Havisham's, Mr and Mrs Bumbles.  Two verses in 'spoken words' where soloists can indulge in their acting abilities too!!  The Coda Finale includes Descant parts mimicking London Bells in augmentation, whilst the piano part bulks up a bit with strong double octaves but slowly so still easy to play and finishing with everyone shouting aloud BAH HUMBUG!!

Published by Tyne Music (A0.999351). THE CHRISTMAS CAROL MUSICAL:-  Who better to write the libretto for this classical Christmas story, than the author?Taking the the actual dialogue from the Charles Dickens novel I’ve added an original score. This musical play is another in the TYNEONSTAGE series of family orientated stage musicals and will be ideal for any senior school or college looking for something different to add to their festive programme. There are ten original descriptive songs for both solo artists and choristers. Even though this story has been adapted and presented in many different ways, I would like to add this, my own version, as a tribute to one of the giants of the literary world. This album includes the Piano & Vocal Score along with the full Libretto. For full information please see my website:- https://www.tynemusic.com/the-christmas-carol-musicalP.S. Owing to the high cost in orchestration The music is only available as a piano score with lyrics and chords. However this is reflected in the price. SATB choir unaccompanied - Moderately Difficult - Digital Download SKU: MQ.7.0720-E Composed by Stephen Chatman. Instrument parts. 36 pages. Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital #7.0720-E. Published by Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital (MQ.7.0720-E). English.Due South is one in a series of four choral suites that explore the cultural and natural wonders of various regions of North America. Stephen Chatman’s choral settings are broad in scope and tone; the tone painting evokes the stunning landscapes and their diverse communities. Both his original texts and those of poet Tara Wohlberg capture the enchanted worlds of North, South, East, and West.1. Arise is the short opening of this suite of five pieces, and is set to glorious homophonic music with rising motives in the lower voices.2. What's Cookin'? takes its sweet time tantalizing the listener with all the menu items of a truly Southern feast. Music, set to a slow tempo in swing eighths, makes the recitation tempting, if not downright sultry.3. Bugs is a soundscape of insects and their songs. Precise vocal effects make this challenging but also whimsical, and the result is pure fun.4. Love, O Love recalls an old-fashioned love letter in which the writer compares the beloved to the moon and the sun and pledges eternal love. The music begins with lush chords sung together, moves to an over-arching soprano line with gentle undulations in the lower parts, and finishes with the choir singing together again, Love shines on you, my only one.5. A perfectly apt finale to this choral suite, Kentucky Derby begins with a nod to My Old Kentucky Home, and then it's off to the races, literally. The text of the suite is declaimed rapidly in patter-song format, almost as if the chorus is calling race as it progresses. A tour de force, and truly, ..a wild ride!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.864447 Composed by Traditional Amish folk song. Arranged by Mark D. Templeton. Folk,Traditional,World. Octavo. 12 pages. Mark Templeton Choral Music #2832017. Published by Mark Templeton Choral Music (A0.864447). Reide, Reide, Geili! (Ride & Ride the Pony!) is a Pennsylvania Dutch folk song. The Pennsylvania Dutch were Germans who migrated to America during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. They brought with them their culture, religions, music, and cooking! The Pennsylvania Dutch language is still spoken by the Amish, the religious sect mostly known for their horses and buggies and their eighteenth century way of life. There are many different tunes associated with Reide, Reide, Geili! The song has taken on a life of its own reflecting the lives of the Amish who still sing it, and the melody and text can differ from community to community. The particular tune used for this arrangement comes from Holmes County, Ohio and is similar to the English nursery rhyme, Ring Around the Rosie. Amish parents and grandparents will sing this rhyme while bouncing their toddlers on their knee. The bouncing is to imitate a horseback ride as the song begins. At the end of each verse, the adult suddenly drops their leg to imitate the child falling off the horse. The child falls to the floor amidst a peal of laughter.  The song can be sung in either Pennsylvania Dutch or in English (written underneath the Dutch). This unique arrangement will lift your audience’s spirits as they are reminded of the songs of their youth, and your singers will enjoy its high energy and pulsating rhythms! A thorough pronunciation guide is also included.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1137245 Composed by John Ross. Classical,Patriotic. Octavo. 12 pages. John Ross #737445. Published by John Ross (A0.1137245). “For the Fallen†was written for Bec Beall and her choir “Lux Alba†and was premiered by them in 2019 at St Matthew’s Church, Albury, NSW, Australia. The words of this choral suite were written by the English poet Laurence Binyon in 1914, immediately after the Battle of Mons, where the British Expeditionary Force suffered a serious loss, soon after the start of World War I. The fourth verse (“They shall not grow old as we that are left grow oldâ€) has become known as the “Ode of Remembranceâ€, regularly recited at memorial services. This suite uses the words of the Ode for the first movement, with echoes of the bugle call “The Last Postâ€. The second movement, “They went with songs to the battle†portrays the soldiers as young men in fine fettle, physically and mentally fit for what lies ahead of them. The third movement, “As the stars that shall be bright as we are dust†compares the war dead to stars and constellations. They move “in marches upon the heavenly plainâ€. Will Longstaff’s painting “Menin Gate at Midnight†(reproduced on the cover of this score) movingly illustrates this concept, with ghostly soldiers marching by the Menin Gate at Ypres, Belgium. The work concludes with an alternate setting of the opening movement “They shall not grow oldâ€. A version of this suite with piano accompaniment is also available on this website.
