Choral Choir (Mixed) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.877910 Composed by Richard Rodgers. Arranged by Rebecca Bogardus. Broadway,Film/TV. Octavo. 12 pages. Lillwy Publishing #3018809. Published by Lillwy Publishing (A0.877910). Give your children's choir the chance to sing with instrumentalists! This arrangement of the iconic classic from The King and I is for three flutes, three violins, and unison choir with an optional soloist. This is a perfect choice for a children's choir with the director acting as soloist! Vocal range is one octave (D to D) and vocal parts are very singable. Instrumentally, this piece is suitable for early intermediate players, making this a perfect choice for your youth ensemble. All string parts are in first position, and there is an extensive pizzicato section that will help your students focus on rhythmic accuracy. Flute parts include articulation markings designed to encourage musicality and include a 2 1/2 octave range. The piece is in Bb, making it a challenge for your more advanced string players but placing it well within the reach of early flutists. We recommend placing your strongest players on Flute 1 and Violin 3. A great choice for a family ensemble or community ensemble!

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.891208 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Gunnar Madsen, Laurie Betts Hughes. Children,Classical,Contemporary. Octavo. 18 pages. Dandelion Music Press #3106157. Published by Dandelion Music Press (A0.891208). If you are looking to lighten your concert, to program real music, or a piece with rapid text delivery satisfying to mid-level HS choirs and community choirs with adult choral beginners, bring this hilarious 3 minute piece to your outstanding accompanist-pianist and your developing ensemble.  Debuted for choir during an educational outreach concert for children with families, Mozart's At the Window is also an effective selection or encore for a Mozart concert, or standing on its own.  Piece features lots of vocal doubling and is fully supported by a pianistic reduction-- this piece shines with an amazing accompanist. The choral arranger writes: After getting absolutely sick of the inane music I'd been playing for my young children in the car, I was elated to discover Gunnar Madsen's CD I'm Growing featuring Mozart's At the Window.  The kids were delighted with this funny song about some naughty kid, and my husband and I were delighted with the enormous improvement of musical quality in our vehicle.  It was shortly thereafter that this choral arrangement was born.Gunnar writes: In my first music theory class in college, the teacher and the students were recalling the silly ways they'd been taught to remember classical melodies when they were young.  One of them was for Mozart's 40th symphony (which I'd never heard) which consisted of Now Mozart's at the window - Let him in, Let him in, Let him in.  What an ear-worm!  For 25 years now I've dreamt of expanding that ditty into something more substantial, and now I'm proud to present the finished piece.  I'm really going to get a kick of sending this one to my teacher!Also available in Two-Part Treble voicing.Music abridged from W. Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1499965 Composed by Eric Idle and John Du Prez. Arranged by K Hingee. 21st Century,A Cappella,Broadway,Comedy,Contemporary,Musical/Show. 4 pages. Katrin Hingee #1076030. Published by Katrin Hingee (A0.1499965). From Monty Python's Spamalot, this song is just as ridiculous as you'd expect. Usually it's the soloists who get all the fun, but this a cappella arrangement has opportunities for the whole choir to join in on the joke, including altos getting picky about the key, tenors getting snarky about the Sir Galahad's high notes, and everyone being taken by surprise by the existence of a fourth page of music.Originally arranged for Away From Keyboard - a geek-themed choir based in Canberra, Australia.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB divisi) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1308788 Composed by Charles Tenet. Arranged by Tobi Crawford. Jazz. 11 pages. Tobi Crawford #898034. Published by Tobi Crawford (A0.1308788). *Purchase 10 copies to perform this piece with your ensemble of any size*Purchase the instrumental pack (bass and drum part) here: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/product/beyond-the-sea-instrumental-pack-only-22605052.htmlThis arrangement came to me over a number of weeks in a very organic way that began with the ostinato piano figure that prevails throughout the piece. I began playing it unattached to any tune and I just liked the way the line descended in the left hand and how I had to find voicings in the right hand that made harmonic sense – like a puzzle. As I was playing around with this puzzle, thoughts of my father were swirling around in my head – I was at the end of a 4 year period of separation from my parents owing to the fact that I’m a Canadian expat living in the US and the borders were closed for a long time because of Covid, and then I had work visa issues and my parents were getting older before my eyes. They were also losing friends to cancer and other ailments and my dad, in particular, had experienced the loss of many close family members and friends during our separation and it was taking a toll. One day I sat down and played the now familiar-to-me ostinato but randomly I started to sing “Beyond the Sea†over it and it fit perfectly. I thought it a happy coincidence. As the days went on I committed to putting my ostinato with Beyond the Sea and the lyrics started to seep into my brain. I have, of course, heard these lyrics many times before, (who hasn’t seen Finding Nemo?) but the lyrics didn’t mean what I thought they meant… They’re NOT about the ocean, they are about my dad!!! Well, kind of… I realized, through careful reflection and by slowing the words down, that the lyrics are talking about a person in heaven who is patiently waiting for their partner to join them. Somewhere beyond the seaShe’s there watching for me…It’s far beyond the starsIt’s near beyond the moon And the lyrics end with them meeting, “We’ll meet beyond the shore, we’ll kiss just like before,†and the song ends with: “and never again I’ll go sailing.†It’s like the big bang went off in my head about why all these thoughts of my dad, and his friends, and this arrangement, and what it all meant suddenly just MADE SENSE and I was able to start formulating a plan. Performance Suggestions: The improvisation solo in the middle should be free of any traditional “scat syllables†and should be more of a lament. Listen to singers like Aubrey Johnson improvise on ballads for inspiration. An idea for that improv section might be to have a male singer start the improv, then a female singer joins (as if together in heaven) then they sing letter F together (warning: will cause tears…). All solo sections do not have to be sung as written – soloists can take liberties with the melody as the spirit moves.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987503 Composed by Nina Quinlivan. Arranged by Nina Quinlivan. Contemporary,Pop,World. Octavo. 10 pages. Nina Quinlivan #15803. Published by Nina Quinlivan (A0.987503). Smile is written in an A, B, C format for an SATB choir. Part A starts with a haunting but beautiful vocal line eventually being enhanced with rich harmonic tones. Part B is the same tempo as Part A but is now in a major key with splendid harmonies which starts to give the song an uplifting feeling. Part C is now faster with each voice getting a chance to shine with gorgeous melodic lines. This song can be sung by a high school choir or an adult choir. A note from the composer; I wrote Smile because I am around young people a lot and there is so much talk about sadness and suicide in today’s culture. I wanted to write a song that gave them hope. Sometimes it just takes a smile from you to turn someone’s day around. It can also work in reverse. Someone may take the time to smile at you to turn your day into a good day. So smile, it’s free.
