This arrangement of Ray Conniff's Favorite Theme from Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto will bring to mind the writing style of Clare Fischer for his 2+2 vocal groups. Though still a challenge, especially with the optional vocal soli, this Conniff-themed edition has been adapted from a more difficult version previously performed by Vocalogy on their 2005 Distilled release. The piece opens with a pulsating rhythm section figure as pianist, bassist, and drummer enter one by one. The wonderful moments of tension have been maintained beneath Rachmaninoff's soaringly romantic melody, and the wordless vocal provides an ethereal quality. With the optional soli, this is an Advanced level arrangement. There is room for improvising regardless of whether or not the soli is performed and, with no soli, this is an Advanced Intermediate arrangement.  

Included individual piano, bass, and drum parts play from individual parts with chord symbols, slashes, and rhythmic notation. Drums alternate between brushes and sticks. Electric bass is preferred, but acoustic bass works.

A simple arrangement of this well-loved hymn. The choral parts are derived wholly from the original hymn, while the piano takes on a more adventurous role. I chose this hymn for the theme repentance, but it would equally compliment themes like commandments, mercy, grace, or faith. How gentle God’s commands! How kind his precepts are! Come, cast your burden on the Lord And trust his constant care. Beneath his watchful eye, His saints securely dwell; That hand which bears all nature up Shall guard his children well. Why should this anxious load Press down your weary mind? Haste to your Heavenly Father’s throne And sweet refresh-ment find. I started a new line of flute arrangements called Compositions that Care.  With these arrangements, all the money sued to purchase these arrangements goes to special charity or cause . This specific arrangement is for Breast Cancer . This is something that 1 in 8 women will develop in their lifetime, and is special to me because I've had family members, friends and co-workers effected by this cancer. Generally speaking, for October, I would arrange so fun or scary Halloween song, however, October is Breast Cancer Awareness. I could not think of anything better to do than a beautiful arrangement , to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer.  
    This well written, beautiful song by Kate Bush would make a great addition to your music library, something very different and memorable not only for a general audience , but especially for an event celebrating Women , for a breast cancer survivor, for friends and family also effected by this cancer , or a movie or tv themed concert because this song was featured in the movie in She's having a Baby :, to tv shows like Alias and recently in The Hand Maids Tale . This is something very different , beautiful, and easy to derive emotional expression from, and for many this song as well as this cause will be very meaningful for many people
