This traditional Austrian Christmas carol is arranged for oboe solo with piano accompaniment.  The melody is first stated completely intact with a backdrop of contemporary extended harmonies.  The second statement varies the melody in the solo part, while the piano presents the third statement with oboe backgrounds. The original setting of the melody returns for the fourth statement.  Please note that the recording and the video feature the soprano sax version of this arrangement.
