Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1046919 Composed by Jim Henson and Sam Pottle. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Film/TV. Score and parts. 15 pages. Derek Hasted #651420. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1046919). THE MUPPETS (TV Theme Tune) - EASY GUITAR QUARTET - or large ensembleFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes The Hampshire Guitar Orchestra used to open some of its concerts with this piece, and itâ??s a great piece for an audience of non-guitarists, drawing them in to the world of music that doesnâ??t fit well on a single guitar. Itâ??s ideal for a school concert but would also suit an adult ensemble with modest experience.Set in swing time, thereâ??s just one little piece of percussion where there are three sharp raps to the front of the guitar - take this on the wing of the bridge and thereâ??s no change of marking the soft wood of the front.School Teachers - you could consider splitting Guitar 3 into two single melodic lines - some players playing stems up and some playing stems down, and then this piece will suit players from almost complete beginners upwards.I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Guitar Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1448345 Composed by James Last. Arranged by Derek Hasted. 20th Century,Film/TV. Score and Parts. 25 pages. Derek Hasted #1028285. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1448345). THE LONELY SHEPHERD (Kill Bill) - GUITAR QUARTET/large ensembleFor Classical or Acoustic GuitarDerek Hasted writes This charming instrumental might be known to you from Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill”, or from the moving version by André Rieu, featuring Pan Pipes.Or maybe this is the first time you’ve come across this haunting melody, set above a bubbling accompaniment. My arrangement will suit a mixed ability guitar quartet or a larger ensemble. Guitars 3 and 4 are early intermediate, and Guitars 1 and 2 are intermediate.Note : I have also published a version for 3 guitars or larger ensemble in which all the parts are intermediate - find it easily from my website (below)Guitar 4 is tuned to 6=D to add depth to the D minor chords. There’s also a Guitar 4 part set in bass clef for deeper guitars - here the tuning is normal, and towards the end the bass is taken up an octave for variation, without getting tangled in the accompaniment parts. Either or both Guitar 4 parts can be used in a large ensemble. This is an ideal concert piece that many in the audience will recognise.I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.928264 Composed by G F Handel, anon. Arranged by Simon James. Baroque,Christmas,Standards. Score and parts. 10 pages. DML #6098171. Published by DML (A0.928264). A popular Christmas carol, the tune usually used today is from an 1848 edition by Lowell Mason for The National Psalmist (Boston, 1848). The name of this tune was given as Antioch, and was attributed as being From Handel.  . Consequently, and with Mason's attribution to Handel, there has long been speculation over how much a part Handel's Messiah had in Joy to the World. However, resemblances between Messiah and Joy to the World, have been dismissed as 'chance resemblance' by Handel scholars today. I have combined Handelian elements with the tune that most people know to create an arrangement that works well for guitar quartet retaining the bounce and vigour of the carol.

Guitar Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1463459 Composed by John Dowland (1563-1626). Arranged by Clive Lane. Classical,Renaissance. Score and Parts. 34 pages. Clive Lane #1042157. Published by Clive Lane (A0.1463459). ‘Lachrimæ or Seven Tears figured in Seven passionate pavans, with divers other pavans, galliards and allemands, set forth for the lute, viols, or violons, in five parts’is a collection of instrumental music composed by John Dowland and published in 1604. Apart from the sheer quality of the music, it is notable as the first publication of English music scored specifically for strings and for lute, and the first to have used the table layout for consort music. There are seven Lachrimae pavans, which are variations on the theme that Dowland had already made famous as a lute solo and a song (“Flow my tears”).The “divers other” compositions are: two almans (“almands”), nine lively galliards (“galiards”), two sombre pavans, and a “funerall.” There are 21 pieces in all and I have divided them into three books, retaining the original ordering of the pieces. This Book Two (8-14) - three pavans and four galliards:8.     Pavan: “Semper Dowland, semper Dolens”9.      Sir Henry Umpton’s Funeral10.  Mr John Langton’s Pavan11.  The King of Denmark’s Galliard12.  The Earl of Essex Galliard13.  Sir John Souch, his Galliard14.  Mr Henry Noell, his Galliard(See Book One and Book Three for the others) For this arrangement for guitar quartet*, I have combined two of the parts (part three and part five) to make guitar 4 (with some minor adjustments).Time values have been halved, and in several cases (Nos. 9,12,15,16,17,20,21), I have transposed the key to a more guitar-friendly key. Clive Lane 2024*Also see my arrangement for guitar quintet.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797697 By The Bangles. By Billy Steinberg, Susanna Hoffs, and Tom Kelly. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. 19 pages. Derek Hasted #3553603. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797697). ETERNAL FLAME - 4 GUITARS or LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This is an arrangement of the lovely Eternal Flame by The Bangles. It's based on a version I wrote for Hampshire Guitar Orchestra which used 4 sizes of classical guitar. This arrangement has been re-worked to suit a conventional classical guitar quartet or large ensemble. It's easy to play and locks together well. Guitar 3 requires a Capo on the seventh fret (or an Alto Guitar could be used instead). If you have a large ensemble, then Guitar 1 can be played with solo, tutti and divisi sections to add tonal and dynamic contrast. It's probably going to have the audience swaying in time to the music! As well as the soundclip here, check out Hampshire Guitar Orchestra's video on YouTube.
