Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1046919 Composed by Jim Henson and Sam Pottle. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Film/TV. Score and parts. 15 pages. Derek Hasted #651420. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1046919). THE MUPPETS (TV Theme Tune) - EASY GUITAR QUARTET - or large ensembleFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes The Hampshire Guitar Orchestra used to open some of its concerts with this piece, and itâ??s a great piece for an audience of non-guitarists, drawing them in to the world of music that doesnâ??t fit well on a single guitar. Itâ??s ideal for a school concert but would also suit an adult ensemble with modest experience.Set in swing time, thereâ??s just one little piece of percussion where there are three sharp raps to the front of the guitar - take this on the wing of the bridge and thereâ??s no change of marking the soft wood of the front.School Teachers - you could consider splitting Guitar 3 into two single melodic lines - some players playing stems up and some playing stems down, and then this piece will suit players from almost complete beginners upwards.I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Guitar Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1490151 Composed by Nicholas Britell. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Film/TV. Score and Parts. 16 pages. Derek Hasted #1067003. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1490151). SUCCESSION TV THEME - for 4 GUITARS/Large EnsembleDerek Hasted writes Originally set in the key C minor, this quirky, short, TV theme tends to prove something of an ear worm with those who hear it. Perfect to close the first half of a concert, then!I've moved the piece into the key of E minor, partly to make best use of the guitar neck, and partly to allow open string harmonics to recreate effortlessly the octave jumps in the original piano chords.I’ve added fingering where I hope it will help. The main theme moves from player to player, so that no single player has extended runs at speed and the audience will enjoy an amazing stereo effect too. The dynamics show where the tune needs to be brought out.The original is very fast, and you may find, as I do, that it breathes better on guitar if taken 10% slower, with the bonus of making the piece just that little bit longer too.I have also arranged this for guitar duet, in an arrangement that is slightly more demanding - find it from my website below.I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797751 Composed by Edvard Grieg. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Film/TV,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 15 pages. Derek Hasted #4793235. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797751). COWKEEPER'S TUNE (TV's Woodentops theme) - 4 GUITARS/LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This arrangement is taken from a String Nonet version (2 first violins, 2 second violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos and 1 double bass). It makes a great quartet for a guitar ensemble of modest ability, and those with more experience will be able to generate a wonderful soundscape with a rich clear overall sound. The pitch range of the original has to be compressed onto the pitch range of a guitar ensemble and I’ve achieved this by raising the lower voices, rather than altering the top voice, where the piece calls for a lighter texture. The dynamics of the original are retained in my arrangement, but the fingering is left to the players... Playing the lower parts up the neck will give a rich, cello-like, sound, but a first position performance will be robust and will use many familiar guitar shapes. This is a charming, gentle, pastoral piece and the sweet sound of the guitar suits it well. Those UK players of a certain age might just remember that this music introduced The Woodentops, a children’s string-puppet TV series which ran in black and white from 1955 till 1957, and was regularly repeated until 1973.I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Guitar Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1463459 Composed by John Dowland (1563-1626). Arranged by Clive Lane. Classical,Renaissance. Score and Parts. 34 pages. Clive Lane #1042157. Published by Clive Lane (A0.1463459). ‘Lachrimæ or Seven Tears figured in Seven passionate pavans, with divers other pavans, galliards and allemands, set forth for the lute, viols, or violons, in five parts’is a collection of instrumental music composed by John Dowland and published in 1604. Apart from the sheer quality of the music, it is notable as the first publication of English music scored specifically for strings and for lute, and the first to have used the table layout for consort music. There are seven Lachrimae pavans, which are variations on the theme that Dowland had already made famous as a lute solo and a song (“Flow my tears”).The “divers other” compositions are: two almans (“almands”), nine lively galliards (“galiards”), two sombre pavans, and a “funerall.” There are 21 pieces in all and I have divided them into three books, retaining the original ordering of the pieces. This Book Two (8-14) - three pavans and four galliards:8.     Pavan: “Semper Dowland, semper Dolens”9.      Sir Henry Umpton’s Funeral10.  Mr John Langton’s Pavan11.  The King of Denmark’s Galliard12.  The Earl of Essex Galliard13.  Sir John Souch, his Galliard14.  Mr Henry Noell, his Galliard(See Book One and Book Three for the others) For this arrangement for guitar quartet*, I have combined two of the parts (part three and part five) to make guitar 4 (with some minor adjustments).Time values have been halved, and in several cases (Nos. 9,12,15,16,17,20,21), I have transposed the key to a more guitar-friendly key. Clive Lane 2024*Also see my arrangement for guitar quintet.

Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576113). This guitar quartet is a somewhat histrionic variation based on the famous Tristan chord (from Wagner's Tristan and Isolde). The composition revolves around a 7/8 melodic theme which climbs up the tonalities as suggested by Wagner's chord sequence and a 3/8 counter melody which also fits into the scheme. ... The sound sample is an electronic preview. The pdf file contains score and parts The orchestral version of the variation, quoting Wagner's actual chord sequence at the beginning and end, is also available.
