Paul Burnell #879906. Published by Paul Burnell (A0.1289059). The download comprises both score and parts.Three Short Turns, by Paul Burnell, composed 2023 for Recorder Trio - Soprano, Alto and TenorAlternate parts are provided:  Alto for Soprano, Bass for Tenor. The Alto part could be played by Tenor.Duration 3:00 approx.Programme note:Three Short Turns was composed simultaneously in versions for a music box, for recorder trio, and for a keyboard instrument such as piano, toy piano, or celesta. The piece was written after receiving a gift of a music box mechanism that could be 'programmed' by punching holes into a paper strip, in the manner of a player piano paper roll, and played by moving the strip through the mechanism by turning a small handle.  These features informed the range and spacing of the notes, and exploited the technique of interrupting the flow of the piece for pauses, and slowing or speeding tempo, by the way the handle is turned.  The piece was adapted in minor ways in the versions for recorder trio and keyboard.   Three movements were produced because the music box came with three identically-sized blank paper strips.

Recorder Trio Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1146903 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Folk,March,Opera,Romantic Period. Recorder Ensemble. 8 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #747102. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1146903). This arrangement adapted for recorder trio was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, in order to be performed by young music students who want to enter the symphonic music. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. The transcription remains faithful to the structure, with only one change in tone, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as being used as an activity in ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions. Beethoven's Turkish March (Op. 113) is the 4th movement of the operatic work: The Ruins of Athens, a set of incidental pieces written in 1812 by Ludwig van Beethoven, where the melody was originally written in 1809 as Theme with Six Variations for Piano, Op. 76. The work was written to accompany the play of the same name by August von Kotzebue, for the dedication of a new theater in Pest. Perhaps the best known part of the composition is the Marcia alla turca, In Latin America, this movement became known in Jean-Jacques Perrey's version (who titled it The Elephant never Forgets) since it was used as the opening theme of the successful Mexican TV comedy El Chavo del Ocho. The opening and the turkish march are often performed separately, and the other pieces in this set are not often heard.

Recorder Trio Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1149481 Composed by Luigi Boccherini. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Classical,Instructional,Traditional,Wedding. Recorder Ensemble. 6 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #749625. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1149481). This simple arrangement adapted for recorder trio was imagined for a group of beginner students who want to start their immersion in classical music, of course with the help of a teacher. Even though the original work is for strings, this did not prevent this beautiful adaptation, where the original essence of the work was maintained, being made only an adaptation of the tonality and some adaptations in the tessitura of the instruments. This piece can be used for professional and academic recitals, didactic material and repertoire for ensemble practice as well, which does not prevent professional musicians and instructors from using it for performances of their preference. Luigi Boccherini was born in the city of Lucca, in northern Italy. He studied cello and became a virtuoso who eventually moved to Spain, where he worked with the Spanish royal family for the rest of his life. His String Quintet in E major, Op. 11, No. 5, G 275, was written in 1771 and published in 1775, and is one of his most famous works. The quintet is famous for its minuet and trio, third movement which is often played as an independent piece outside the context of the full quintet. This is notably the most famous, it is in 3/4 time, in the key of E Major modulating to A Major. This is a beautiful work, and not just the third movement, with good partial writing for all. The lovely, flowing melodies and rhythms are typical of Boccherini. The quintet is suitable for both concerts and home performances.

The original lyrics to Der Deitcher’s Dog are provided; they suggest an interesting fate for the lost dog. These popular songs are arranged for NST and ATB recorders from the original piano/vocal scores. Conductor’s scores and individual parts are easy to read and suitable for workshops and recorder society meetings.
