Londonderry Air, also known as Danny Boy, is also sung to the Gospel hymn He Looked Beyond My Faults. The bassoon has the melody with the oboe and clarinet providing a counter melodic accompaniment. The performance duration is approaching three minutes, and phrasing has been added to encourage a legato performance.
