It also works alongside the same arrangement for other instruments (i.e. flute, trombone, etc).The music would be great for developing chamber music with younger players (though it is also a great set piece for older players as well...especially at a gig where a bunch of music is needed), possibly within a band program or a flute or oboe studio. In addition to learning to play in a small group with no conductor, there is ample opportunity for phrasing and extra musical development.

This movement is really testing as the melodic material progresses up a scale from A to Bb to C etc returning to A at the end.
