Clarinet Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.553769 Composed by Domenico Gallo. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Baroque,Holiday,Wedding. 11 pages. RayThompsonMusic #4283761. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553769). This music was originally attributed to Giovanni Pergolesi, as they were in a Mr R. Bremner's original 1780 London publication and also arranged by Hugo Riemann, and again wrongly attributed to Giovanni Pergolesi. It is actually made up of 3 different pieces: Gallo's 2nd Trio Sonata in Bb. Mvts I and III, and Trio Sonata No 8 in Eb.All 3 Gallo mvts were used by Igor Stravinsky in the 3rd mvt. Scherzinoof his Neo Classical Pulcinella Suite. There is few bars joining the 3 mvts...one is Stravinsky's own, one is from a Pergolesi Opera. The Pulcinella Suite for small chamber orchestra and 3 vocalists which was derived from the ballet, was written in 1922 and has no vocal parts. But even though Stravinsky used Pergolesi's(which were in this case Gallo's) melodies and bass lines with little change, he managed to put his own unmistakable stamp on the music through his use of modern harmonies and occasional rhythmic modifications.I have used transcriptions of the original pieces, but have transposed them into the keys used by Stravinsky. I have included the original Pergolesi Aria as the first link, and a scale passage of my own for the second. My arrangement is in the same format as Stravinsky's so is a complete work.I have another upload with the 3 separate movts in their original keys. This arrangement is interesting to play and  do not sound too dissimilar to Stravinsky's final work.It is arranged for clarinet trio (2 Bb and bass)https://youtu.be/PMC-84MmuYw

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552650 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Holiday,Standards,Wedding. 41 pages. Jmsgu3 #6492315. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552650). Sonata No. 1 BWV 525, originally for organ, arranged for clarinet trio: 2 Bb clarinets, 1 bass clarinet.Duration: 14:15, Score: 19 pages In three movements.I. AllegroII. AdagioIII. AllegroJ.S. Bach's Trio Sonatas BWV 525-530 are some of the most popular and beloved works of the Baroque period. Composed in 1717, these six trio sonatas for the organ are among Bach's earliest works for the instrument. They are all in the traditional three-movement form and are composed in the style of the Italian concerto grosso, with two upper voices (treble and alto) and a basso continuo. The two upper voices often intertwine in intricate contrapuntal melodies, while the basso continuo provides harmonic support. The works are also full of virtuosic passages that demonstrate Bach's mastery of the organ. The Trio Sonatas are considered to be among the most important and influential works of the Baroque era, and they continue to be widely performed and studied today. The Bach Trio Sonatas have been successfully transcribed for a variety of ensembles, including wind, string, and brass ensembles. The parts are easily divided among a variety of wind instruments, including flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone. In these transcriptions, the original material is retained, but often with some additional orchestration or embellishment. These transcriptions often emphasize the polyphonic texture of the original works, creating a rich soundscape.  The Sonatas have also been successfully adapted for a variety of string ensembles. In these versions, the original two-part texture with the basso is maintained, creating a full and satisfying sound that allows for a more nuanced interpretation of the works. In addition, these transcriptions often add a variety of dynamic markings and articulations that were not present in the original editions. These transcriptions provide performers with a variety of options for interpreting and performing these beloved works.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Clarinet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.809968 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Andrew Grenci. Classical,Concert. 57 pages. Andiss Music (www.andrewgrenci.com) #5012805. Published by Andiss Music (www.andrewgrenci.com) (A0.809968). Beethoven's Trio, op 87, was originally composed for two oboes and english horn. The present arrangement for two clarinets and bass clarinet is unique in that the melodic solo lines are evenly distributed between the clarinet parts, yielding a more interesting experience for the performers and more colorful listening for the audience. The lower pitch of the bass clarinet also allows for an expanded range and fuller sound when compared to the english horn original. As an alternative, the bass part could be played by a 3rd clarinet, thus preserving the original octave. And, the music has been transposed to concert Bb to better suit the clarinet. This is a virtuosic and expressive piece of music by a great master, and is perfectly suited for a serious recital or recording. The four movements extend over 17 minutes, although individual movements could be successfully performed separately.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Clarinet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1034375 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Sacred,Wedding. 9 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #639724. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1034375). This easy arrangement for clarinet trio has been adapted to be simple to perform and understand the structure of the original work for various levels of musical knowledge. It can be played freely by beginning students because of the ease imposed on the piece. It is often performed at wedding ceremonies slowly and reverently, challenging the effect suggested by Bach in his original score for voices with trumpet, oboes, strings, and continuous bass. This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary's Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Although it is the 32nd cantata composed by Bach, of those that have survived, it was given BWV 147 in the complete catalog of his works.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Clarinet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138513 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738853. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138513). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for clarinet trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. They are also suitable for performances at events such as: weddings, Christian and church ceremonies, Easter, and academic recitals or concerts. They can be used in music institutions and by teachers as repertoire material and study methods, either for performance or instrumental technique. This collection includes a totally free bonus for you to enjoy: Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress is Our God, a Renaissance sacred song for choir, which has been adapted for this set. 1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. 2: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. Of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part. 3: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. 4: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. 5: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. Bonus: A Mighty Fortress is Our God, by Martin Luther - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism, where it is also known as Deus noster refugium et virtus. Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

RayThompsonMusic #2025535. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553161). The 1st movement (of 6) of Warlock's Capriol Suite. The Capriol Suite is a set of dances composed in October 1926 by Peter Warlock, and is considered one of his most popular works. Originally written for piano duet, Warlock later scored it for both string and full orchestras. According to the composer, it was based on tunes in Thoinot Arbeau's Orchésographie, a manual of Renaissance dances. Nevertheless, Warlock's biographer, Cecil Gray, said that if one compares these tunes with what the composer has made of them it will be seen that to all intents and purposes it can be regarded as an original work. I have arrangements for other instrumentation of all of the other movements.

The work was written to accompany the play of the same name by August von Kotzebue, for the dedication of a new theater in Pest. Perhaps the best known part of the composition is the Marcia alla turca, In Latin America, this movement became known in Jean-Jacques Perrey's version (who titled it The Elephant never Forgets) since it was used as the opening theme of the successful Mexican TV comedy El Chavo del Ocho. The opening and the turkish march are often performed separately, and the other pieces in this set are not often heard.
