Appalachia Waltz MO101DAppalachia Waltz adapted for Violin, Viola and Cello by Mark O’ConnorCello Part (score and parts available)Music by Mark O’Connor2 pages - 7:20 minutes in length Appalachia Waltz by Mark O’Connor is the title track from the album featuring O’Connor, Yo-Yo Ma, and Edgar Meyer. The Sony Classical release debuted and then stayed for several months at the No.1 position on Billboard Magazine’s Classical music chart. O’Connor originally composed the piece as a solo for unaccompanied violin in 1993. For the recording with Ma in 1996, O’Connor and Meyer re-arranged the waltz for violin, cello and doublebass. As it currently appears in this manuscript, O’Connor adapts the instrumentation for violin, viola and cello for improved playability. Appalachia Waltz might well be one of Mark O’Connor’s most-loved compositions. It utilizes musical inspiration from Scandinavian and Appalachian folk fiddling, while crafted into a classical music setting. The music is suited for advanced and intermediate levels. Original music printed from the composer’s manuscripts.Music editing, copying and engraving by Mark O’Connorusing Finale on Apple Macintosh 1993 Composed By Mark O’ConnorOriginally released on Appalachia Waltz featuring Mark O'Connor, Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer, Sony ClassicalCan be heard on Mark O'Connor's Crossing Bridges OMAC Recordshttps://omacrecords.com/omac-7-crossing-bridgesOther versions can be heard on Duo by Mark and Maggie O’Connor OMAC Records and The Essential Mark O’Connor Sony Classical Catalogue Number MO101DCopyright © 1993 by Mark O’Connor Music InternationalFor more information on violinist and composer Mark O'Connor, O’Connor String Camps, Touring Ensembles, Discography, Bio, Repertoire and more, please visitwww.markoconnor.com For information on the O’Connor Method – instructional book series for violin, viola, cello and school string orchestra programs:www.oconnormethod.com

String Ensemble,String Trio Cello - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1031098 By Adele. By Adele Adkins and Paul Epworth. Arranged by The Cello Playin' Fool. Pop,R & B. Score and parts. 13 pages. Caitlin McAndry #3108637. Published by Caitlin McAndry (A0.1031098). Adele's Rolling in the Deep is an instantly recognisable hit, and is a real crowd pleaser. This arrangement, suitable for competent cellists, is designed to produce a full sound despite the small group size. The melody is swapped between parts to give each player a chance to shine. Suitable for any event, from wedding receptions to concerts, and always guaranteed to draw attention. Arrangement duration: ≈ 3:45Notes on the arrangement:Some sections are technically challenging, including double stopping in 3rds, 6ths, and open string octaves, and use of tenor clef. However anyone wanting to simplify this arrangement to make it more accessible to less experienced players would be able to do so; either by splitting up the double stops between a larger group of player, and/or transposing the melody down an octave.Performance notes:This piece should be played with energy and vigour, as intended by Adele. A good pulse and a steady speed will help players to keep together. Any repeated quavers should be played nice and staccato, and quite percussively. This avoids any mushiness sometimes associated with 3 lower instruments playing together in approximately the same range. More information:If anyone has any questions or wants more information, performance tips, rearrangements,or future requests, feel free to contact me:Caitlin McAndry ~ The Cello Playin' FoolEmail: cmcandry@me.comFacebook: The Cello Playin' FoolKudos for getting this far into the description! Thanks for reading, enjoy the music! From Caitlin The Cello Playin' FoolP.S Sorry for the awful sound quality on the recording, it was recorded on my headphone mic which is not all that good!

String Trio Cello - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1270178 Composed by Solage. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Contest,Early Music,Festival,Historic,Medieval. 10 pages. Jmsgu3 #862608. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1270178). Sources suggest that the song is a love ballad that praises the beauty and virtues of a woman named Calextone, who was a lady from the town of Arouse. The lyrics describe her as having great value and worth, and her beauty and grace are compared to smoke and mist. The composer of the song, Solage, also refers to himself in the refrain with a double meaning, using the spelling soulage. The song is considered a representative example of French secular music from the late fourteenth century.  It is not known whether Calextone was a real person or a fictional character created by the composer. Some sources suggest that the song may have been composed for a wedding, possibly that of Jeanne de Boulogne, and that Solage may have been in the service of Gaston Fébus, compte de Foix, who had a financial interest in the marriage. The composer of the song, Solage, was a prominent figure in the Ars subtilior movement, which was characterized by complex rhythms, intricate melodies, and highly stylized notation. The song is considered a representative example of this musical style, which flourished in France during the late medieval period. The song's use of acrostics and double meanings in the lyrics, as well as its intricate musical structure, demonstrate the sophistication and complexity of the Ars subtilior style. Overall, Calextone qui fut dame d'Arouse is an important example of medieval French music and its evolution over time.
