Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792533). Paul Marie ThĆ©odore Vincent d'Indy was born in Paris into an aristocratic family of royalist and Catholic persuasion. He had piano lessons from an early age from his paternal grandmother, who passed him on to Antoine FranƧois Marmontel and Louis DiĆ©mer. His main influence was Cesar Franck. These three pieces were some of his many works for Piano.Opus 33 was inspired by a trip to Bayreuth, the musical home of Wagner and the Black Forest region. Opus 33 no. 1 from 1889 is titled ? with no explanation of itself. Opus 33 no. 10 is titled Lermoos, which is a delightful skiing village in Austria right on the border with Germany.  Germany's largest mountain is in perfect view, possibly giving the movement its spirit. Euphonium,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.842573 Composed by Narcisse Bousquet. Arranged by Sean Brennan. Classical,Concert,Graduation,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 14 pages. Bl_music #6644623. Published by bl_music (A0.842573). Narcisse Bousquet (ca. 1800 – 1869) was a French composer, flageolet player and the conductor of the ElysĆ©e-Monmartre orchestra. He appears to have been active in both England and France in the first half of the Century. The dates given are the conventional ones, though there is a lack of evidence to support them. In about 1855, Bousquet worked with Jules Prudence RiviĆØre at the Casino Paganini. There is a reference to him working in Paris at the Bal BarthĆ©lĆ©my between about 1860 and 1865. One book Le Polycorde ou Nouveau Traite ThĆ©orique et Pratique de Musique, published in 1872 by J. FrĆ©dĆ©ric Giraud, describes a six-key French flageolet as the SystĆ©me Bousquet so he may have been involved in the development of this type of instrument. Beyond this, very little is known about Bousquet and he does not appear in any of the usual sources for information about 19th Century French musicians. Solo part in bass clef suitable for euphonium or ophicleide.
