Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory is a classic American film from 1971.  To many, the most memorable scene is the chocolate room, where the film's star, Gene Wilder, sings one of the most recognizable songs in theatre history.  Pure Imagination is a piece about always following your dreams, and the euphory that comes with it.This arrangement for a trombone quartet is a great piece for any ensemble!  All four of the parts are equally important.  While Trombone 1 has the melody, and could be used as a solo piece, the arranger takes great care in ensuring every note across the quartet matters.  The first half of the arrangment is reminiscent of the Gene Wilder classic, featuring a haunting chorale style.  After a first trombone chromatic feature, the arranger switches gears, taking this classic melody and adding a happy spin to it.  As the piece progresses, the melody is played with more and more until building to a satisfying finale!  This arrangement shows off your ensemble's dynamics very well!This arrangement was written for Valentine's Day 2024.
