Prokofiev Humorous Scherzo, Op. 12, No. 9 has been wonderfully arranged for Trombone Quartet by Ralph Sauer. The work, written in 1914, originally for piano (but Prokofiev actually arranged it for four Bassoons) is from Prokofiev's early years and shows the playful side of his personality.

This work is about 2.5 minutes in length and is appropriate for advanced performers.

The March from Prokofiev's Love for Three Oranges has long been an audience favorite, and is still frequently performed in concert today.
