In the Hall of the Mountain King was later included as the finale in Peer Gynt, Suite No. 1, Op. 46, and has become one of Grieg’s most recognizable works. As the piece unfolds, the music evokes images of trolls, gnomes, and goblins gathered around Dovregubben, the Mountain King.
