Here is an easy instrumental duet arrangement (for BOWED PSALTERY solo with PIANO accompaniment) of the traditional French Carol Bring a Torch, Jeannette, Isabella. The psaltery part was designed for a beginning psaltery player and is written in the key of F major with one flat (B-flat/A-sharp). The piano accompaniment is at the intermediate level.

To assist those new to reading music notation, two solo parts are included: one is the standard music notation and includes the lyrics for sing along enjoyment. The second solo part is identical to the standard music but instead of lyrics, the note names are provided below each note (example A, B, C. . .).

The psaltery plays the melody for one verse. An optional repeat is included in case a longer selection is desired. Here is a flowing instrumental trio arrangement (for FLUTE and/or VIOLIN duet with PIANO accompaniment) of a beautiful hymn from the early 1900's titled My Song by D. S. Hakes. The original lyrics were inspired by the following Bible verse: The Lord is my strength and song. Psalm 118:14.

This hymn may be better known by its Spanish title Mi Redentor es Cristo (O Jesus, my Redeemer) when used with lyrics translated by Edgar L. Maxwell. The original lyrics by F. E. Belden are shown below.

Both the FLUTE and the VIOLIN get to lead with the melody at times making this a fun and equally challenging piece for both instruments while adding variety for the listeners. The FLUTE plays the melody for the first verse and then the two instruments alternate for the second verse. The VIOLIN leads with the melody for the third verse. The song begins in the key of C major for the first two verses, then transitions to the key of G major during the piano interlude before the final verse.

Though notated with FLUTE on part 1 and VIOLIN on part 2, the ranges are also accessible for other combinations of C instruments such as 2 VIOLINS or 2 FLUTES. Here is a simplified, yet powerful instrumental trio arrangement (for FLUTE and/or VIOLIN duet with PIANO accompaniment) of the beloved classic hymn The Holy City by Stephen Adams (aka Michael Maybrick). The PIANO accompaniment has been simplified from the original making it more accessible to the intermediate pianist. This majestic and uplifting arrangement is an often-requested selection for church services and Easter celebrations and a valuable addition to the sacred repertoire of string and woodwind players. 

Both the FLUTE and the VIOLIN get to lead with the melody at times making this a fun and equally challenging piece for both instruments while adding variety for the listeners. Though notated with FLUTE on part 1 and VIOLIN on part 2, the ranges are also accessible for other combinations of C instruments such as 2 VIOLINS or 2 FLUTES. The range for each part is as follows: Part 1 (FLUTE) ~ F#4 to B5; Part 2 (VIOLIN) ~ D4  to F5. For the violin on either part, all notes are playable in the first position making this piece an excellent choice for early intermediate string players. Duration 5:15.

This Scripture song based on Psalm 51 verses 10-12 is formatted as a vocal solo with piano accompaniment (3 staff piano-vocal score). This solo arrangement is written in the key of F major and has a vocal range of one octave, from middle C to high C (C4 to C5). The purchase price includes a 6-page combined score plus a 2-page solo score and a 4-page piano accompaniment score.

This Psalm is a prayer of King David and presented here for meditation and reflection, drawing the listeners into an atmosphere of prayer and recommitment. The simplicity of the melody allows the soloist to focus on the words and vocal dynamics as the audience is drawn to the beauty of God's Word expressed musically.

Though the piece is written for voice it also makes a beautiful instrumental piece with a C-instrument playing the solo part (such as the violin). For the violin, all notes can be played in the first position on the G, D, and A strings making this an excellent selection for a beginning violin student.

This sheet music is arranged for a one octave, 13-note chromatic scale Handbell choir with Piano accompaniment. The piano provides an introduction then the Handbells play the melody and frequent 2-part harmony. An optional repeat and second ending is included in case a longer song is desired.

Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instruments (Handbells and Piano) on a grand staff plus two separate scores for the Handbells (one in standard format with black and white notes and the second with color-coded notes). The color-coded score is enlarged so the colors are easier to distinguish and all sharps and flats are displayed (shown in the key of C) as reminders for beginning ringers.

A color-coded note chart is also provided showing the Handbell notes used for this arrangement as well as the number of times each note is played. The note distribution is helpful when assigning notes to ringers. You may want to assign fewer notes to beginners or evenly distribute the bells between all ringers.

As noted above, one of the Handbell scores is color-coded for easier note reading for beginning ringers. This separate color-coded score uses the Chroma-Notesâ„¢ Colored Music System. If you have a set of Handbells with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the Handbells match this color scheme.
