How Soon Theme - Leadsheet (with guitar chords) How Soon Theme is a composition by Henry Mancini, one of the most renowned composers and arrangers of American music, especially famous for his work in film and television soundtracks. The song was composed in 1958 for the soundtrack of the film **The Return of the Gunfighter,** a Western that follows the story of a retired gunslinger who is forced back into action. Mancini's score for the film complements the atmosphere of the Old West, blending traditional elements of the genre with his unique style of composition. How Soon Theme stood out for its smooth and evocative melody, with orchestral arrangements that capture both the vastness of the Western landscapes and the emotional tones of the film. Although the film itself did not become a widely recognized classic, Mancini's music, like many of his compositions, took on a life of its own, appreciated for its artistic quality and influence in film music.
