All Blues — Contemporary jazz ensemble By Miles Davis Arranged by Dan Ford for contemporary jazz ensemble, including parts for rhythm section, tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, and trombone. This arrangement is gig-tested and designed for ease of reading during the heat of a live gig. All parts include chord changes for improvised solos or embellishment of backing parts. All Blues is Miles Davis’ composition from his 1959 album Kind Of Blue. This arrangement features a combined Rhythm Section part with clear chord spellings and rhythmic cues for bass guitar, drum kit, guitar, and piano. Additionally, the arranger has included original backing parts for alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and trombone. The horn parts include divisi voices in harmony allowing a choice of which horn plays lead or harmony, or each horn part can also play the tune’s melody. This is a basic lead sheet for Miles Davis' All Blues, in the original key of Concert G. Each lead sheet has the basic song form, with melody & chord symbols as well as a basic indication of the bass line and the piano riff . There are separate parts for Concert, Concert bass clef, Bb and Eb instruments, as well as a concert part with lyrics. The parts are clearly laid out and would be perfect for use in a jazz setting, or any where a basic lead sheet is required. The lyrics part also makes this tune perfect for a jazz vocalist.

The Miles Davis Quintet featured tenor saxophone player John Coltrane, pianist Red Garland, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Philly Joe Jones. The song became a Miles Davis specialty and it appears on several live session recordings and compilations in different versions. The tune was taken up and performed by countless jazz musicians and is still a favorite in jam sessions.
