Here is the lead sheet version of Were You There When They Crucified My Lord? as heard on my YouTube channel. This version is in C major to match the original recording, and includes a full two-page version with the different chords for each verse as well as a condensed version that has everything on one page for convenience in a worship team binder.
This version of the classic Good Friday hymn has beautiful chords to accompany the solemn, simple melody and point towards the deep meaning and solemnity of Holy Week. It works well as a solo or congregational song for any Easter service, particularly for Good Friday or Maundy Thursday.Â
Also available, by searching Stacey Plays Hymns and the song title on this site, are the following versions:
Full piano and vocal arrangement in C major to match the original recordingÂ
Full piano and vocal arrangement in E Flat and G Major to match different vocal ranges
A simple guitar lead sheet version
Solo piano version for a prelude/postlude, or communion interlude
