Recorder - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.898101 Composed by Mauro GIULIANI (1781-1828). Arranged by Douglas Brooks-Davies. Romantic Period,Standards. Recorder Ensemble. 46 pages. Douglas Brooks-Davies #3436331. Published by Douglas Brooks-Davies (A0.898101).  Among the many compositions for guitar by the celebrated guitarist Mauro Giuliani (1781-1828) is a collection of 16 charmingly tuneful dances, published under the title La Tersicore del Nord (The Northern Tersicore, this being the name of the ancient Greek muse of the dance), thereby suggesting that Giuliani felt the collection to be inspired in some way by what he understood to be a northern European spirit. Here are six of them, nos 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13, arranged for recorder quartet - soprano (descant), alto (treble), tenor and bass. The melodies are Giuliani's, the rest is mine, each part being given some at least of the fun in these engaging pieces. Tempo indications are also editorial. The guitar original - treble line with occasional accompanying notes or chords - can be found at IMSLP.
