Brass Ensemble Trombone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1087838 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Multicultural,Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 26 pages. Regis Bookshar #692067. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1087838). Coronation March, TH 50, CW 47 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Trombone Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of Peter Tchaikovsky's Coronation March, sometimes called Festival March or Festival Coronation March, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and other festive occasions. This arrangement keeps all of the intensity and excitement of the original composition and is suitable for high school and college students. Professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (26 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available to the public for the first time. The Coronation March was ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883. It was written during March of 1883 and was performed for the first time on June 4, 1883 in Sokolniky Park in Moscow, conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music then included excerpts of the anthem, God Save the Tsar. The American premiere was on May 5, 1891, for the opening concert of Carnegie Hall in New York City, conducted by Tchaikovsky himself. During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem. Starting with Dmitri Medvedev's inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president, and ends well before the playing in this piece of the Tsarist anthem God Save the Tsar. Unlike Tchaikovsky's other major compositions, the Coronation March does not have an opus number. It has been given alternative catalogue designations TH 50 and CW 47. Tchaikovsky's Coronation March was originally scored for a full orchestra and written in the key of D Major. Regis Bookshar has now created an abbreviated version, written in Db Major, and has arranged it for a Trombone Octet. In addition to this arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March for a Trombone Octet, other arrangements of this festive composition for various instrumental ensembles are also available. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as there are many more arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you as well, and please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March will continue to entertain both audiences and performers alike for years to come.

Netflix' popular and successful series from 2019, The Witcher shared its popularity with a song that was featured in one of the early episodes of the 1st season, named Toss a coin to your witcher. This is an arrangement of that song, for 7 or 8 trombones. The 8th part is optional and may be omitted, but if you have a bass trombone player with great low range (or a tuba), the 8th part will give your performance some extra oomph. This arrangement is as performed on my youtube channel, NorwegianTrombonist.

Large Ensemble Organ,Trombone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792708 Composed by Hector Berlioz. Arranged by Marc Williams. Opera,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 97 pages. Gordon Cherry #5873693. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792708). Te Deum, written by Hector Berlioz was conceived as the conclusion to a grand symphony celebrating Napoleon, but ultimately, the piece was dedicated to Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria. Berlioz considered the Te Deum to fall into his ‘architectural or monumental’ musical compositions which is true, given that Berlioz led musical forces between 900-950 performers at the initial 1855 performance! Judex Crederis is the last movement of the Te Deum and represents one of Berlioz’s most dramatic works. As with many of Berlioz’s large works, the trombone plays a prominent role in the movement. After the spectacular organ introduction, the brass enters, led by the six trombones in a brief fanfare that introduces the chorus. This glorious ‘moment’ inspired the arrangement for a monumental trombone choir with organ. The original trombone parts are included essentially unchanged, with the other parts covering the chorus and instruments. The work brilliantly arranged by Marc Williams is intended for accomplished performers and provides ample musical challenges and rewards for the performers and audience alike.

Large Ensemble Trombone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792066 Composed by Bach, J. S. Arranged by Sauer, Ralph. Baroque. Score and parts. 50 pages. Gordon Cherry #3075963. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792066). Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565 is possibly the most famous work in the organ repertoire. It was written as early as 1704 while the composer was in his teens, which could explain some of its unusual features. It first appeared in publication in 1833 by way of Felix Mendelssohn. The first appearance of this work as a transcription and recording for brass came in 1979 by Frederick Mills and the Canadian Brass, becoming an iconic work in the ensemble's repertoire. Ralph Sauer has had a great deal of success with his transcriptions of Bach's works. This work of about 9 minutes in length for 8-part Trombone Ensemble of advanced performers is brilliantly thought out and can be the cornerstone of a concert program.
