Flute Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Flute,Bass Flute,Piccolo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.817939 Composed by Adrian Dee. Contemporary. 73 pages. Adrian Dee #4413997. Published by Adrian Dee (A0.817939). This work consists of three short movements in irregular meters.  The contrabass part is not optional but may be played on a regular bass flute if no contra is available.  The first movement, Stomp is in 9/8, conducted in 4: (initially 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 changing to 2 + 2 + 2 + 3 halfway through) with a heavy pulse and a bluesy chord progression in E minor. The second movement, Waltz is in 3 (3 + 3 + 2) with a momentary straight 3 in the middle section. This sweet little melody in G major is a bright contrast to the aggressive first movement. The final movement, Reeling is in 5/8 (2 + 3) with a brief detour to 2/4 near the end, in E major. It is a joyous dizzy layering of twirling notes in the upper voices against a rising grounded melody in the lower voices.  Each movement is 2 ½ to 3 minutes in length. This work is also available in a version for flute quartet (3 C-flutes and alto flute, or 4 C-flutes).  Let me know what you think! adriandeeflute@gmail.com

Woodwind Ensemble Flute - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.551802 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by James Guthrie, ASCAP. Classical,Contemporary,Standards. 19 pages. Jmsgu3 #5722237. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.551802). Beethoven's Three Equali, WoO 30, are three short trombone pieces. They were composed in honor of All Souls' Day and gained historical significance when they were performed at Beethoven's funeral and the dedication of his tombstone. The pieces are notable for being written for four trombones, a relatively uncommon ensemble, and have become a staple of the modern trombone repertoire. The Three Equali were first performed at Linz Cathedral on November 2, 1812, and two of them were played at Beethoven's funeral on March 29, 1827, alternating with choral arrangements by Ignaz Seyfried. The pieces are significant due to their historical associations and unique instrumentation.

Woodwind Ensemble Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813441 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Multicultural,Standards,Wedding,World. 36 pages. Regis Bookshar #6260475. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813441). Canon (Pachelbel) (Bb) (Flute Octet) - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This selection, Johann Pachelbel's celebrated Canon, is perhaps the most famous canon ever written and has been one of my favorite compositions to arrange. A canon is a polyphonic device in which several voices play the same music, entering in sequence. Pachelbel's Canon, was originally written in the key of D Major and was scored for three violins arranged in canon, accompanied by a basso continuo which repeats the same harmonic progression throughout the entire piece. The common musical term for this is ostinato or ground bass. Regis Bookshar has now arranged this music for a Flute Octet. Three Flutes play the melody in canon while the ostinato accompaniment is played by the other five instruments. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but could also be performed by professional performers. It is perfect for concerts and church services, especially for Weddings, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (36 pages). This version is written in the key of Bb Major, to make it a little easier for some younger performers, but another version is also available in the key of D Major if you would prefer. Other versions of Pachelbel's Canon have also been arranged by Regis Bookshar and are available for a wide variety of instrumental Quintets and Octets, in both the keys of D Major and Bb Major. I think that String players would probably prefer to play the versions in the key of D Major while the Brass and Woodwind musicians might prefer to play the Bb Major versions. I hope you take the time to compare the different versions to find the right version for you. To help you decide which version, or versions, you may want to choose, I have included several musical samples for you to listen to and to hear what these arrangements may sound like and so that you may compare the various arrangements. Also, just to let you know, the Octets written in the key of Bb Major have full-length recordings while the Octets in D Major and all Quintets have only the first 25 measures, or so, available to hear. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar which are also available. There are quite a few other arrangements in a variety of styles and I'm certain you will find something else which might interest you as well. Please keep checking because I plan to continue to add new arrangements as often as I can. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon will be a challenge to some performers but will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Flute Choir - piccolo, flutes, alto, bass, contra'alto and contabass - Intermediate-Advanced - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM035 Composed by Georges Bizet. Arranged by Robert Rainford. ISBN 9790708085348.Flute Choir/Ensemble - Piccolo, 3 flutes, alto flute, bass flute, optional contr'alto flute, contra-bass flute, optional percussion. A fairly large scale arrangement of the three entractes from Bizet's Carmen for flute choir. Each movement has a different character - the first is march-like, the second lilting and romantic, and the third is full of spanish fire. The first movement is relatively straightforward featuring bass and alto flute solos. The second requires sustained playing in the third octave from flute one in particular, and the third requires nimble fingerwork from all players and strong tonguing to bring out the spanish feel. At around 6 minutes long, this is a nice suite to include in a concert.

Flute Choir,Woodwind Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1449511 Composed by Sy Brandon. 21st Century,Chamber,Contest,Festival. 45 pages. Sy Brandon #1029267. Published by Sy Brandon (A0.1449511). Cascades is a three-movement composition for flute choir that represents both the waterfall definition of the word and the mountain range in the Pacific Northwest. The first movement represents Multnomah Falls, the tallest waterfall in Oregon. It drops 635 feet in two tiers. The music has cascading musical figures as well as sense of power and beauty. Mt. Hood is the inspiration for second movement. Standing at 11,249 feet above sea level, this majestic mountain is dramatically visible from the valley floor and is snow covered most of the year. The music of this movement depicts the rising from the valley floor with its low to high orchestration. The almost symmetrical shape is represented by descending lines after the two climaxes. The third movement is a reminder of the relatively youngness of the Cascade mountain range. In 1980, Mt. St. Helens erupted, causing catastrophic damage to the surrounding area and loss of lives. What remains of this former symmetrical mountain is a large crater as a reminder of the volatile nature of the Cascade Range. The music of this movement is filled with tension, from the seismic tremors of the first part to the eruption itself in the second part. A final cascade, this time depicting lava flow rather than a waterfall, brings both the movement and the composition to a close.

Published by Yoel Epstein (A0.773299). Four of the world's classic love songs arranged for flute choir:Aura Lea -- An American song from the civil war period, that became the basis of Elvis Presley's smash hit Love me tenderPlaisir D'Amour -- Written in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Ɖgide Martini, this song is as fresh today as the day it was written. Elvis adapted this song as well, in his popular Can't help falling in love with you.Hayu Leilot -- little known outside of Israel, this breathtaking song tells the story of love and loss in the days of the first Jewish settlements in Palestine.Salut D'Amour -- Edward Elgar was a penniless and unknown composer in 1888 when, smitten by his love for the aristocratic Caroline Alice Roberts, he wrote this haunting melody. Over her family's stern objections, she married Elgar, who went on to be Britain's leading composer of the time, knighted for his contribution to British music.I hope you enjoy playing these as much as I enjoyed writing them. If you enjoy this, you are welcome to try some of my other arrangements. You can see them at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/yoel-epstein-sheet-music/3001988?ac=1. Flute Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Flute,Bass Flute - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1399878 Composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Arranged by D Telgen. Classical,Film/TV,Romantic Period. 12 pages. Neglet Music #983102. Published by Neglet Music (A0.1399878). This is the best-known of all the variations from Rachmaninoff'sĀ Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Its slow, romantic melody perfectly suited it for the movies, and it most notably appeared as the love theme in the 1980 film Somewhere in Time. The original piece was scored for piano and orchestra; this version has been arranged for a small flute choir of one bass flute, two alto flutes, and three C flutes (who all get a chance at the melody). For groups who may not have multiple low flutes available, the arrangement includes an optional Flute 4 part to double the first alto part.Ā The individual parts are not that technically difficult, but players will need to watch for the occasional syncopated rhythm or duplet/triplet in opposition. Ideal for high school groups and above, it's sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Woodwind Ensemble Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813588 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. 13 pages. Regis Bookshar #6429837. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813588). Flute Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of the Allegro movement from Henry Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services. It is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. This selection is one of the arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library, many of which are being made available for the first time. They have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The original composition was written in D Major but Regis Bookshar has transposed it to Bb Major, making it a little easier for many modern musicians. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (13 pages). The 17th century composer, Henry Purcell, is generally considered to be one of the greatest English composers of his generation. His Sonata for Trumpet and Strings in D Major, composed in 1694, was probably written for the London Theatre, where a fine tradition of trumpet playing had developed. Purcell almost certainly had in mind either John Shore or his brother, William, the most renowned trumpet players in England at the time. The trumpets of the time were normally tuned in D and there were no valves on the Baroque trumpets, so they were limited in the number of notes that they could play. The term Sonata here probably means no more than a piece of incidental music and looks forward to the style that would become the solo concerto where soloist and strings are pitted against each other but also looks back to an older type of instrumental music which emphasized equality between members of the ensemble. The music is in three movements and looks forward to the fast-slow-fast plan popularized by Vivaldi's concertos. Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists, besides trumpet players, could also have the opportunity to play the Allegro movement from Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet, so he has created other arrangements of this selection. This particular arrangement is for a Flute Octet, consisting of 8 Flutes, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this piece. You may find something else that may suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check back periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Purcell's Allegro from his Sonata for Trumpet will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Flute Choir - 4 flutes, alto, bass - Intermediate-Advanced - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM036 Composed by Edvard Grieg. Arranged by Robert Rainford. Score and parts. 10 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM036. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM036). ISBN 9790708085355.Flute Choir/Ensemble - 4 Flutes, alto flute, bass flute. An ideal piece for the less experienced flute choir. 44 bars long in G major with an Allegretto tempo marking, this was originally a choral piece which has been transcribed for flute choir. Flute one and two reach top G, whilst the third and fourth part go no higher than 2nd octave D (although there are some A#'s to deal with). The alto and bass parts are very simple, allowing players less certain on these instruments to find their feet. The second half of this piece is an identical repeat of the first half, with flute one changing material with flute two, and flute three changing with flute 4. A useful concert piece.
