The Little Vagabond is from Blake's Songs of Innocence and of Experience. However, this poem was considered to be to subversive of authority and was omitted.  The vagabond child tells his mother that he'd rather be in a warm ale-house, not a cold church.  He suggests that ale be served in church:  The Parson might drink & preach & sing, and the parishoners would be warm and happy as birds in the spring. The music is as playful as the poem!
