An Armenian song and dance in 5/4 meter, Gorani originated in Daron in western Armenia, now Anatolia.  The lyrics have been variously interpreted as a love song, or as sentiments for a disappointing harvest, or more profoundly, as a lament for a lost homeland or adored one.

Gorani is in the key of E minor. The haunting R.H. melody is often harmonized in thirds and sixths, but also serves as an accompaniment with an open octave when the L.H. is given the melody. The R.H. reinforces the quintuple meter with a beat grouping of 1-2 1-2-3. The melody is augmented at the end.

Constance Shelengian studied piano with Maro Ajemian. She has a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree and is a retired music educator.

Remember Me is a song from the 2017 animated Pixar film Coco, written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The song is performed variously within the film by Benjamin Bratt, Gael García Bernal, Anthony Gonzalez, and Ana Ofelia Murguía. Miguel and Natalia Lafourcade perform a pop version of the song that is featured in the film's end credits. Carlos Rivera recorded a cover version of the song, titled Recuérdame for the film's Spanish-language soundtrack album. It won Best Original Song at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018.

Born on February 28, 1948 in the village of Kremovo, Mikhailovsky District, Primorsky Territory. Composer, jazz improviser, button accordion and accordion teacher. In 1967 he graduated from the Tula School of Music, accordion class, in 1972 - from the Kazan State Conservatory (accordion class - Professor Anatoly Vasilyevich Tikhonov). From 1968 to 1972 he worked at the Tula Regional Children's Music School, at the Tula College of Arts named after A.S. Dargomyzhsky. Diploma-recipient of the International Music Festival Euroorchestra; winner of the special prize of the 1st Moscow International Festival-Competition Contemporary Art and Education in the nomination composer-performer; laureate of the All-Russian competition in composition, laureate of various jazz festivals. Member of the unions of composers of Russia and Moscow.

Works by Vladimir Fomenko for button accordion, accordion, wind and string instruments, for orchestras and ensembles of various compositions were performed in Finland, Switzerland, France, CIS countries, in various cities of Russia, in the best concert halls in Moscow, as well as on Russian radio. Played in various cities of Russia, in the best concert halls in Moscow, as well as on Russian radio. As obligatory plays, his works were repeatedly included in the program of several International Competitions named after N.I. Beloborodov.
