Instrumental Duet Harpsichord,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.862671 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Michael Bomier. Classical,Concert,Standards. Score and parts. 9 pages. Michael Butkus-Bomier #3667951. Published by Michael Butkus-Bomier (A0.862671). This Mozart piece was a favorite of Alfred Brendel. It has more sweep and scope than most of his other piano music and most of the sonatas as well. Thus, it was favored as a showpiece. Our setting uses all the trademarks of our house style: no clef changes in the middle of ANY measure, labeled notes above three ledger lines, written-out ornamentation, the re-distribution of various notes into the opposite hand to facilitate a gesture, and a minimum of interpretive markings and multiple voices, so as to make sure you know where each New Note Begins, and less attention paid to how long it lasts. This piece has a repeat at the three-minute mark, which requires a turnback from the top of pg. 3 to the beginning, a bit outside of our usual practice, but unavoidable here, UNLESS one considers that repeat as optional, and avoids it, which Brendel does indeed do. Full running time at our conservative tempo is 13 mins+. Pedal this deeply for a resonant effect on all the sweeping arpeggios, or use it sparingly for a dryer, more early Classical Period sort of effect. MBB

Instrumental Duet Harpsichord,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.862674 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Michael Bomier. Classical,Concert,Halloween,Standards. Score and parts. 6 pages. Michael Butkus-Bomier #3684801. Published by Michael Butkus-Bomier (A0.862674). Mozart's music is often described as being hard to play because of its thinness, its transparency, and lightness of texture. he compensates for the lack of thunderous chords and bravura with melody, and Syncopation. This piece abounds in both, especially the latter. To further the readability of these L-R alternating syncopated figures, we have used a rhythm which has fewer rests, which reflects the performance style of Emil Gilels, the Russian pianist known for his golden sound. One of the ways he achieved that sound was frankly by playing through many rests in Mozart, Beethoven and other composers whose scores were the vehicles for his sound. Weird, but true.  All the original rhythms have been doubled for better visual clarity. Our score has fewer 16th-rests and more stemmed-together notes. When the syncopation is unavoidable and required, we use detached 16ths similar to what a vocalist would find in an opera recitative. The cadenzas are written out in full-size notes, and fingered for logical harmonic and scalar groupings. The ornamentation is also written out, similar to what one might in a grayed-out ossia box from some commercial publishers. MBB.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.790152 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Diamond S Music. Classical,Concert. Score. 14 pages. Diamond S Music #4269079. Published by Diamond S Music (A0.790152). Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, Op. 13 - 1st Movement, commonly known as Sonata Pathétique, was written in 1798 when the composer was 27 years old, and was published in 1799. It has remained one of his most celebrated compositions. Although commonly thought to be one of the few works to be named by the composer himself, it was actually named Grande sonate pathétique (to Beethoven's liking) by the publisher, who was impressed by the sonata's tragic sonorities. Prominent musicologists debate whether or not the Pathétique may have been inspired by Mozart's piano sonata K. 457, since both compositions are in C minor and have three very similar movements. The second movement, Adagio cantabile, especially, makes use of a theme remarkably similar to that of the spacious second movement of Mozart's sonata. However, Beethoven's sonata uses a unique motif line throughout, a major difference from Haydn or Mozart’s creation. This is the original Beethoven arrangement of this sonata., commonly known as Sonata Pathétique, was written in 1798 when the composer was 27 years old, and was published in 1799. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.845469 By Will Ferrell And Molly Sanden. By Max Grahn, Rickard Goransson, and Savan Kotecha. Arranged by Musikeo. Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Musikeo #6373621. Published by Musikeo (A0.845469). Husavik (also known as Húsavík or Husavik (My Hometown)) is a song performed by Will Ferrell and Molly Sandén (under the stage name My Marianne) for the film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020). The song was written by Fat Max Gsus, Rickard Göransson, and Savan Kotecha, and received a nomination for Best Original Song at the 93rd Academy Awards. The song is sung during the finals of the contest after Lars arrives just in time for the grand final after asking for a ride from some initially unwilling American tourists. Instead of their official entry Double Trouble, Sigrit and Lars perform Husavik, an ode to their hometown. Since Fire Saga changed the song for the finals, they are disqualified from the contest but won the hearts of the people. Lars and Sigrit kiss after performing the song. This piano arrangement follows the original song and is adapted to the piano player with plenty of beautiful details and maintaining the essence of the song , mainly a pop ballad.  The key is set to G instead of Gb (original key would sound 1/2 step lower) to make it easier to play on your piano. You can always set transpose -1 if you want to play along with the song.
