Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1069959 Composed by Steven H. Boothe. Arranged by Ashley Ivers. Pop,Rock. Accompaniment. Duration 184. Boothe Publishing #4633665. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.1069959). Most of the mistakes I made in life were between the ages of 12-16 years. Somehow I felt that I was smarter than I was. I thought that my friends were smarter than they were. I felt invincible. I made many foolish mistakes during those years. About that time, my family was preparing to move from Oregon to Utah. I remember my mother talking with me and saying that I could start over again. We would be in a new place with new people. No one would know me. I could be the person I truly wanted to be. I thought about this a lot, and when we finally made the move I had decided what kind of person I really wanted to be. In fact, I felt bad for being the wrong kind of person and hurting other people physically and spiritually. I eventually felt so bad about my mistakes that I decided that I would write or call the people I had hurt and apologize to them. Over the period of a year I was able to find, call and apologize to each of them. To my great surprise none of them were still angry with me. I was forgiven. That was a great feeling. This day will be forever what you choose. Once you leave this life you won't be able to return and right any wrongs that you have committed. So when you make a mistake, choose to make it right today so that this day, this day of good choosing will be what will last forever. Never let yourself do something that you know inside is wrong. If your friends are trying to talk you into doing something you know is wrong, don't just sit there and listen to them. Get up and leave the room, or the party, or the situation. Be true. Be the one. Be the son or daughter of God. Do what He would do.

It is also the title of a Chicago compilation album released by Columbia Records (Columbia 38590) in 1983.The single topped the US charts on October 23, 1976, and stayed there for two weeks, making it the first number one hit for the group as well as hitting number one on the Easy Listening charts.[4] If You Leave Me Now was also Chicago's biggest hit internationally, topping the charts in other countries such as the UK, Australia, Ireland, Canada, and Netherlands. In the UK it maintained the number one position for three weeks.[5] It was one of only five non-disco songs to make it to number one in the US in a nine-month period of 1976.[6]According to writer Zachary Houle of PopMatters, The song was so pervasive on radio upon its release that, reportedly, those tuning in inNew York could hear the song playing on four different stations, each with varying formats, simultaneously.[7]The song won Grammy Awards for Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) (strings) for arranger Jimmie Haskell[8] and producerJames William Guercio[9] and Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus,[10] the first Grammy Award won by the group.[11] It also received a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year.[12] In addition, by August 1978 it had sold 1.4 million copies in the United States alone.[13] It has been certified gold and platinum by the RIAA.[14]In 2010 Chicago teamed with the American Cancer Society and offered the opportunity to bid on the chance to sing their hit, If You Leave Me Now with them on stage live at their concerts, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society to fight breast cancer.[15] The fund raising effort has continued in succeeding years.Taken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_You_Leave_Me_Now

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1213917 By Roy Clark. By Charles Aznavour and Herbert Kretzmer. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Film/TV,Jazz,Multicultural,Singer/Songwriter,Standards,World. Score. 8 pages. Timothy Stapay #811114. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1213917). Yesterday When I was Young is a song composed by Georges Garvarentz and written by Charles Aznavour and released in September 1964.  The original French title translates to Just yesterday or Not so long ago.It is considered one of Aznavour's greatest hits. The English-language lyrics, written by Herbert Kretzmer, tell of someone reflecting on his life, recalling how he had wasted his younger years.Lyrics:[Verse 1]Yesterday when I was youngThe taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongueI teased at life as if it were a foolish gameThe way the evening breeze may tease a candle flameThe thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I plannedI always built, alas, on weak and shifting sandI lived by night and shunned the naked light of dayAnd only now I see how the years ran away[Verse 2]Yesterday, when I was youngSo many drinking songs were waiting to be sungSo many wayward pleasures lay in store for meAnd so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to seeI ran so fast that time and youth at last ran outI never stopped to think what life was all aboutAnd every conversation I can now recallConcerned itself with me, me and nothing else at all[Verse 3]Yesterday the moon was blueAnd every crazy day brought something new to doI used my magic age as if it were a wandAnd never saw the waste and emptiness beyondThe game of love I played with arrogance and prideAnd every flame I lit too quickly, quickly diedThe friends I made all seemed somehow to drift awayAnd only I am left on stage to end the play[Outro]There are so many songs in me that won't be sungI feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongueThe time has come for me to pay for yesterdayWhen I was youngYoung, young...

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1335247 By The Carpenters. By Paul Williams and Roger Nichols. Arranged by John Fries. 20th Century,Pop,Standards. Score. 3 pages. John Fries #921071. Published by John Fries (A0.1335247). Please contact me by email at jfries@ptd.net to make a special request or to find out all that I have to offer and to express your comments or concerns.  You can also type John Fries in the searchbar to see all I have to offer. Thanks, John. This song was the fifth and final single from the album A Song for You by the Carpenters. It was originally only an album track; 2 years passed before it was released as a single. During 1973-74, the Carpenters found themselves with a busy touring schedule, which kept them from working on new material. As a result, they had no album issued for the year. They decided to choose this song for single release. It works well as a piano solo. If you have need for a special arrangement or wish to see what I have available email me at jfries@ptd.net.

Published by Senoj Music (A0.1426792). Lead sheet for an original jazz ballad with music and lyrics by Wendy Jones. This Chet Baker-ish/ Diana Krall-type song explores love and loss and the struggles one experiences after a loved one has passed on. Would be a welcome addition to your jazz set if you are looking to change things up a bit. Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1033214 Composed by Mark Wilson. Contemporary. Score. 27 pages. Mark Wilson #6268685. Published by Mark Wilson (A0.1033214). When my friend, the composer and pianist Neil Crossland, asked me to write a work for him to perform, he requested that I give the piece a distinctly Scottish flavour. Perhaps as a consequence, hailing from Scotland as I do, the resulting work is distinctly autobiographical in nature. This is a challenging piece, aimed at advanced players. The four movements reflect the preoccupations of four stages of (my) life as seen in hindsight. The word dimensions in the piece's title refers to facets of my own character. The first movement, Complications, represents the self-image of the young. The music is adventurous and academic, full of the potential of a life yet to be lived and the earnest self obsession of youth. The second movement, Romance, is the search for love, though seen through the lens of memory and therefore touched with sadness. The third, Transience, shows the uncertainties of middle age, so full of frustration and of nostalgia. This movement contains my setting of the Jacobian poem Will Ye No Come Back Again?. The last movement, Revelry, blows away the uncertainties of the third movement with the driving energy of a Scottish reel. Perhaps increasing age brings a certain perspective; what does it matter if you have more past than future? Just get up and dance and let Dr. Music sweep your cares away. The piece features a musical fragment (first heard in bar 26 of the first movement) which has been the cause of much amusement between Neil Crossland and myself over the years. Neil has been composing music since his teens but the art has only much more recently become a big part of my life. However, musical ideas have always had a tendency to come into my head and, several years ago, I decided to play these two bars to Neil. Every so often, in the years that followed, he would teasingly ask me how my new piece was coming on, knowing full well that I'd have to admit that my magnum opus was still only two bars long! By setting the melodic fragment at the heart of this composition I have finally ensured that he can tease me about it no longer. More importantly, I hope that Neil enjoys our little in-joke.The audio file for this work is beautifully performed by the work's dedicatee, Neil Crossland.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1127867 Composed by Philip Le Bas. Chamber,Classical,Folk,Multicultural,World. Score. 9 pages. Philip Le Bas #728476. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.1127867). Incidental music composed for piano in four parts by Philip Le Bas to accompany the Japanese folk tale (ghost story) Yuki-Onna (Snow Woman). This work developed out of a cross-cultural project initiated at Morley College, London, in early 2019, aiming to create a melodrama for piano solo and spoken voice to be performed in northern Japan later in the year by young students of the piano. It is based on the ghost-story above, which is widely known in Japan. The tale was transcribed and published by Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo) in 1904 as part of his book “Kwaidan: Stories and Studies of Strange Thingsâ€, a collection that has been highly influential in expressing popular Japanese culture over the past century. Synopsis of the tale of Yuki-Onna: Two wood-cutters, Mosaku and his apprentice Minokichi, encounter a terrible snow-storm and take shelter in an empty hut by a river. The storm gets worse and worse, but they both finally fall asleep. When Minokichi wakes, he sees a woman all in white bending over Mosaku breathing bright white smoke onto his face. She then approaches Minokichi. She is very beautiful, but her eyes make him afraid. After a while she says, “I intended to do the same to you as I did to the old man, but I feel pity for you because you are a pretty young man. If you ever tell anybody what you have seen, however, I will kill you too.†And she vanishes into the snow storm. It is then that Minokichi discovers Mosaku dead on the floor of the hut. Years later Minokichi meets a beautiful girl, who calls herself O-Yuki. He falls in love with her and they live together in his house, along with his mother, who fortunately takes a liking to her new “honourable daughter-in-law.†Over the years O-Yuki gives birth to ten children and the villagers all agree that she is a wonderful person. But she is somehow different from them, as she continues to look young and fresh, despite the passing years. Minokichi often thinks of telling O-Yuki about the events of years ago, and eventually, as he is gazing at her beauty one night, he can resist it no more. He begins to tell her about the snow storm and the terrifying snow-woman. To his horror O-Yuki becomes more and more angry, and she finally says: “It was me, it was me,… and I said I would kill you if you ever told anyone! But for these children asleep here, I would do so this very moment! You had better take very good care of them; for if ever they have reason to complain of you, I will treat you as you deserve!†As she screams at him her voice becomes thin, like the crying of the wind, and she melts into a bright white mist spiraling into the roof-beams. At that moment it starts to snow, but O-Yuki is never seen again.
