Piano Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596495 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards. Score. 4 pages. Juan Maria Solare #3100069. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596495). I've found that music with autobiographical references has a particular expressive strength.I was in Finland once (performing at the World Tango Summit in Seinäjoki, 2011). The city of Seinäjoki is quite close to the Arctic Circle, so in summer the sun doesn't really set: instead of a night you have several hours of an eternal twilight. The feeling was that of a transition stopped in time, as a slow motion film of someone springing over a wide river. This can be a wonderful experience (and for me it was), but can be also unnatural to us, Latinamericans, used to the day is sun and night is no sun approach to life.Anecdotically, the temperature during these days in Seinäjoki was 31 Celsius. So my experience of Finland is that of a very warm place. I guess other persons have colder experiences. There are three versions of this piece: Piano solo (pedal all throughout, resonances) 7:24 Tibetan singing bowls 7:40 Electronic sounds (ambient) 7:50 The bowls version is recorded at A = 432 Hz. The solo piano and the electronic versions are at A = 440 Hz.   Summer Twilights in Finland are Particularly Long was composed in Bremen on 5 May 2017.    Cover Art: Juan María Solare, based on a foto by Chado Nihi (released under license CC0, and used by explicit permission: You are welcome to use it for any non-harmful purposes).   Listen on: https://juanmariasolare.bandcamp.com/album/summer-twilights-in-finland-are-particularly-long or on Spotify / Deezer etc.   Updated, general information: http://www.juanmariasolare.com/summer_twilights_in_finland_are_particularly_long.html

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1425889 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 52 pages. Damien Gauci #1006655. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1425889). This is the second album that I have released and it is another soft piano album. Ever since I published my first album ‘Sunday’ I have been wanting to write another one because I enjoyed writing the first one so much. I wanted to write even better pieces than the first one as well as a couple more pieces too. When thinking about a theme for this album, I decided to go for the season of summer and write music that reminds me of summer such as the warm breeze, the fragrance of the trees and flowers, and the sparkle of the sun on the water. In a lot of the pieces in this album, I explored the line between the ambient and melodic world with some pieces featuring a strong melody while others cycle through a chord progression in a certain pattern. This is something that I like to explore in a lot of my music as I think a melody is a great way to make a piece of music memorable but I also find that less melodically driven pieces still have their place in telling a story or setting a mood. So, if you are listening to this album or learning it, I hope that you find each piece enjoyable and that there is one that sticks out to you as your favourite. My intention is for you to listen to them while you drive, study, work, or have a rest or do anything else to make those moments a little more enjoyable and special. Thanks very much for taking the time to check out this album!

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1295715 Composed by Donald Ashwander. Ragtime. Score. 6 pages. The Donald Ashwander Estate #886012. Published by The Donald Ashwander Estate (A0.1295715). Perdido Bay Moon Rag is a heartfelt and evocative solo piano composition dedicated to the memory of an elegant lady whose love for dance and a chance suggestion led to the creation of this beautiful piece. The composition pays homage to the serene beauty and cherished memories of Bear Point, Alabama, a place rich in history and personal significance to the composer, Donald Ashwander. The story behind Perdido Bay Moon Rag begins on a summer day when Donald, along with friends Edith and Edwin Zelnicker, found themselves on the picturesque Bear Point, Alabama. This tranquil peninsula on the shores of Perdido Bay held a special place in their hearts, as it was a locale where they had spent countless hours as children. They reminisced about their youth, playing beneath the majestic magnolia trees adorned with Spanish Moss and exploring ancient Indian mounds in search of pottery shards. It was during this nostalgic conversation that Edith, the elegant lady in question, suggested the title for a piano composition: Perdido Bay Moon Rag. Enchanted by the idea, Donald was determined to bring this vision to life. Upon returning to New York, he began crafting the piece, but it somehow eluded his grasp. Despite this initial challenge, he designed an appropriate cover for the composition and sent it to Edith and Edwin in Mobile.Over the years, Perdido Bay Moon Rag remained a fixture on Edith and Edwin's piano, a symbol of a cherished memory and unfulfilled promise. Edith confessed to her friend that she had attempted to play the piece but found it too complex, and so it remained unplayed.Time passed, and sadly, Edith fell ill. On a poignant visit to Mobile after Edith's passing, the atmosphere in their home was filled with her spirit. There, prominently displayed on the piano, lay Perdido Bay Moon Rag. In that moment, Donald knew that he needed to fulfill his promise and honor Edith's memory properly. With newfound determination and inspiration, Donald embarked on a journey to create a completely new composition that would capture the essence of Bear Point, Perdido Bay, and the moonlit nights they had cherished. This time, the music flowed effortlessly from his fingertips, as if guided by the memories and love he held for his dear friend.Perdido Bay Moon Rag is a testament to the enduring power of memories, friendship, and the creative process. It reflects the tranquility of Bear Point, the gentle sway of Spanish Moss, and the serenity of moonlit nights on the bay. Through its delicate melodies and intricate rhythms, the composition invites listeners to share in the deep emotions and fond recollections that inspired its creation. The final page of the sheet music contains special program notes by Donald Ashwander.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1425808 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 4 pages. Damien Gauci #1006568. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1425808). The title of this piece came from the use of swing in the rhythm. I wanted to write a piece with swing and that’s how this piece came to be. I wanted the piece to reflect a swing hanging from a tree branch on a summer evening with the sun starting to dip down below the horizon. The piece begins with a simple pattern that follows a chord progression which appears through most of the piece. As you listen to this piece, I want to relax and just imagine a place where you are alone or with someone you love, on that swing in the warmth of that summer evening. The swing is gently swaying back and forth in the breeze and the clouds are starting to set in as the night settles in once again.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.851198 Composed by Dan Jones. 20th Century,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 4 pages. DanJonesGuitarist #6478273. Published by DanJonesGuitarist (A0.851198). Then Nature Breathed  (For Flo) During the international pandemic lockdown of 2020, I was living in Perthshire, Scotland. I am a keen road and hill runner, and I often find solitude, fitness, and mental rejuvenation in the foothills of the Ochils. Perthshire is a beautiful place to run. Due to the lack of planes and cars, I was amazed at the sudden abundance of animals and plant growth which appeared quite suddenly during that spring and summer. I felt that nature was thanking us for a brief pause in our frantic lifestyles, where we belch emissions and pollute our souls, minds and the planet in a frantic rush to feed our lust for materialism. I feel that many people (myself included) were able to stop, reflect and re-evaluate our roles in our lives. Pause Mere waves on this ocean navigating currents of precious space Do less or more   Home a sacred place for some Breathe Breathe the light of this divine time   Nature revisits Clear air Silent paths Moments   Time for less, for more Movement Space Open creative pause. (Kirsty Jones) I hope you enjoy playing ‘Then Nature Breathed’. (For Kirsty) Dan Jones ©www.danjonesguitarist.com2021

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.507298 Composed by Heather Cattanach. 20th Century,Contemporary,Instructional. Score. 4 pages. Published by Heather Cattanach (A0.507298). Delphinus, a Late Intermediate Piano Solo features playful staccato accompaniment in the right hand with cantabile melody in the left, and a contrasting contrapuntal section to tell the story. In ancient Greece a musician and poet called Arion was returning on a sea journey from a performance tour. The sailors threatened to rob Arion of his earnings and murder him. He made a request to play his lyre and sing one last song. His music attracted a pod of dolphins, who swam alongside the ship, leaping and smiling. Seizing his chance for escape, he leapt from the ship onto the back of a dolphin who carried him to safety. Therefore the dolphin was honoured and placed in the sky near the constellation Lyra. Delphinus the Dolphin is easy to see near the summer triangle as a small diamond shape with a tail. From “88 Constellations†a collection by Heather Cattanach featuring one piece of piano music for each of the 88 constellations (to match the number of keys on a standard piano). Performance Time 1 1/2 minutes. 3 pages. (General Instructional, Modern, Modal, Repertoire, Recital).

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.507408 Composed by Heather Cattanach. Celtic,Children,Contemporary,Instructional,Irish. Score. 4 pages. Published by Heather Cattanach (A0.507408). Intermediate Piano Solo Lyra has a Celtic feel to it. Lyra is visible in the northern hemisphere sky in the Summer Triangle. This constellation represents the golden lyre (a stringed instrument similar to a small harp) with which the musician and poet Orpheus could charm all listeners. With his music he prevented the Sirens from luring Jason and the Argonauts to their deaths. When his wife Eurydice died, he played songs that so moved the gods, they allowed him to lead Eurydice out of Hades to the land of the living. Neither of them were permitted to look back, but at the final moment, as he entered the living world, he looked back. Eurydice had not yet taken the final step out of the Underworld, and so was lost to him forever. After his death, his lyre was placed in the night sky by the Muses. The constellation was listed by Ptolemy in the second century. From “88 Constellations†a collection by Heather Cattanach featuring one piece of piano music for each of the 88 constellations (to match the number of keys on a standard piano). Performance Time 3 1/2 minutes. 3 pages. (General Instructional, 20th Century, Modern, Repertoire, Recital, Celtic).
