Johann Sebastian Bach's third sonata for solo violin, BWV 1005, is an incomparable masterwork of Baroque music. Written in 1720, this sonata continues Bach's mastery of the solo violin, balancing lyrical expressivity and technical complexity within a single work.   The opening Adagio movement is particularly beloved for its slow, passionate melody and depth of emotion. The movement's simple structure – two repeating harmonic progressions that contrast and combine – is especially beautiful in its unadorned melodic lines and sonorous tones. At the same time, the movement is filled with subtle variations and technical challenges, making it a dazzling display of Bach's technical brilliance.  Come and experience Bach's heartfelt music. The composer is a member of Trinity High School in Louisville's alumni. Loui graduated in 2017 and proceeded to learn music composition. The first idea for him was to write a variation on Trinity's Alma Mater theme. It began as a mere project for his first piano recital. However, the finished product was an amateur composition that was received well by the audience. Finishing it within a week of time, Loui recalls that it could be further improved if he wishes to revise it heavily. But, Loui claims that it is best for the composition to remain as the first attempt for him to compose. Loui appreciates the guidance of his piano professor, Dr. Irina Voro especially, and appreciates his family for their support. He is also grateful for his girlfriend Samantha Koon for her love and support. .

Nikolayeva (1924-1993) was a pianist, composer and teacher from Soviet Russia.Her mother was a professional pianist and studied at the Moscow Conservatory under the renowned pedagogue Alexander Goldenweiser, and her father was an amateur violinist and cellist.

She sat as a jury member on international competitions such as the Paloma O'Shea Santander International Piano Competition, the International Tchaikovsky Competition and the Leeds Piano Competition. She recorded her own transcription of Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf. Nikolayeva was the teacher of Nikolai Lugansky; shortly before her death, she declared him The Next One in the line of great Russian pianists. Among her other students was András Schiff, whom she taught in summer courses at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Weimar.

Eleanor Rigby is an example of a song that demonstrates The Beatles evolution of moving from standard rock and roll to more experimental and alternative sounds.  A song on the topics of depressing loneliness was not a common topic coming from rock bands in the 1960's.  However, being a teenager in the 60's, the minor melody caught my attention and became one of my favorite Beatles songs.

All that said, this arrangement features staccato chords and a melody that alternates between staccato and legato phrases.  I wrote it at an intermediate level so it would be playable by teen piano students.  I think teen students that are beginning to expand emotionally will be attracted to Eleanor Rigby. 

I see this arrangement being popular for family gatherings, and recitals and well as self-satisfaction.  Also, adult students and amateurs would be attracted to this arrangement.
