Panis Angelicus for Piano/Organ is based on a beloved hymn by Fr. Louis Lambillotte (1796-1855), who also wrote Come Holy Ghost and On This Day, O Beautiful Mother. This hymn, Bread of Angels, appears in older Catholic hymn books, and has been a favorite for many years. This work is a musical reflection on the beauty of the hymn and the profound meaning of its words. It is especially suitable for Corpus Christi, but also would be appreciated at any Sunday throughout the Church year. Intermediate/Advanced Intermediate level.
