Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017150 Composed by James Babcock. Contemporary. Score. 35 pages. James Babcock #6350295. Published by James Babcock (A0.1017150). FROM CHILDHOOD – Piano accompaniment only. 35 pgs. (Violin part. 15 pgs. Sold separately SO.            .)  Four easy to Intermediate violin solos for instruction and performance. With piano accompaniments.  Each of the four pieces is available separately on SMP.   (1) MARGARET DANCING.  (SO.      ) Like a Beethoven song and country dance, this piece offers pleasing melodies for the beginner who is well along, both to study and to perform in recital.   (2) MUSICBOX. (SO.      )  This short easy piece imitates the sound of a music box, including its running down at the end.  For instruction it can serve to introduce the student to light staccato bowing or up and down slurred staccato bowing.  For performance it can serve as an amusing interlude.   (3) HYMNSONG. (SO.      )  In the form of an etude, this piece consists of a simple theme with numerous variations, somewhat like Paganini’s famous Caprice 24.  Of intermediate difficulty, it offers double stops, tremolo, and various bowings. For performance it can be played as is or it can easily be shortened by omission of one or more passages.   (4) MOTHER’S STORIES.  (SO.      ) Varying from sweet to dramatic, this simple composition offers an opportunity for emotional interpretation. Intermediate from that standpoint, It is otherwise basically easy. A nice recital piece. Your compositions are charming and melodic, useful both for training and performance.-Thomas Lindsay, former concertmaster, Virginia Beach Symphony and New Jersey Pops.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1201265 Composed by Valery Aralov. Arranged by Yury Chugunov and Zellev. 20th Century,Blues,Broadway,Jazz,Musical/Show,Video Game. Score. 6 pages. Zellev Music #799915. Published by Zellev Music (A0.1201265). Key Signature: NaturalTime Signature: 3/4Tempo: Con moto (with movement (as lively as possible/ vivace))Difficulty: Advancednot much known about the composer, the piece originally comes from jazz compilation by Yury Chugunov.from the excerpt: The publication is dedicated to the waltz - not quite an ordinary genre in jazz, where the quadruple meter reigned supreme. The waltz was established in many respects thanks to the creativity in the fifty of the musicians kula (the so-called cool jazz - cool jazz). Interest in the waltz was shown by several major musicians of this direction, such as Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Dave Brubeck. One of the first waltz themes to penetrate jazz was Frank Churchill's most popular melody from the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Soon waltzes written by jazz musicians began to appear. The jazz waltz represents the lyrical side of jazz along with the jazz ballad and bossa nova. The collection includes works by Soviet and foreign authors. The latter are represented by the names of R. Rogers, B. Evans, D. Brubeck, P. Desmond with his famous Take Five waltz and others. Dave Brubeck (in whose ensemble alto saxophonist Paul Desmond played) was perhaps the first to experiment with five-, six-, seven-quarter time signatures, widely using variable time signatures, polyrhythm; a typical example of a waltz of variable size belongs to the young Moscow pianist Daniil Kramer (Caprice). Recall, by the way, that an example of a five-quarter waltz in symphonic music is found in Tchaikovsky (second movement of the Sixth Symphony). We hope that the collection will be of interest not only to jazz musicians, but also to a wider circle of music lovers.-Yuri Chugunov.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.790173 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ludwig van Beethoven. Classical,Concert. Score. 17 pages. Diamond S Music #5755359. Published by Diamond S Music (A0.790173). Rondo a Capriccio in G Major, Op.129 - Rage Over A Lost Penny - Beethoven - Piano Solo.  The Rondo alla ingharese quasi un capriccio in G major, Op. 129 is a piano rondo by Ludwig van Beethoven. It is better known by the title Rage Over a Lost Penny, Vented in a Caprice. This title appears on the autograph manuscript, but not in Beethoven's hand, and has been attributed to his friend Anton Schindler. It is a favorite with audiences and is frequently performed as a showpiece. Robert Schumann wrote of the work that it would be difficult to find anything merrier than this whim... It is the most amiable, harmless anger, similar to that felt when one cannot pull a shoe from off the foot, citing the work as an instance of Beethoven's earthliness against those fixated upon a transcendental image of the composer. This new edition also contains a brief biography of Beethoven, some historical information about the piece, and a facsimile of a portion of the original manuscript.  Other similar arrangements and selections from DIAMOND S MUSIC available at: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/diamond-s-music/6940

Piano - intermediate to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q53316 Composed by Julius Schulhoff. Edited by Robert Schafer and Wilhelm Ohmen. This edition: Sheet music. (c) 2020 Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz. Classical. Downloadable. 3 pages. Schott Music - Digital #Q53316. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q53316). Julius Schulhoff grew up as the son of wealthy Jewish parents in Prague, where he received piano and music theory lessons. Following his first performances in Dresden and Leipzig, he moved to Paris in the mid-1840s and was active there as a virtuoso pianist. Chopin is said to have shaken his hand after a performance, saying: ‘Vous êtes un vrai artiste, un collègue.’ (You are a true artist, a colleague.) Concert tours in England, Spain and Russia followed. However, over time, he gave up his career as a soloist and devoted himself entirely to teaching and composing, first in Paris, from 1870 in Dresden, later in Berlin, where he was appointed Professor a year before his death. His virtuoso salon music for piano includes a large sonata, studies, caprices, impromptus, nocturnes, waltzes and mazurkas. This short ‘album leaf’ was published by Schott in 1852 (plate number 12059).
