Written in 1938, performed in 1939 by the Dandridge Sisters but popularized by the Ames brothers in 1951. This arrangement reflects the rhythmic style of the big-band era.
The main riff is reminiscent of that in the later Opus No. 1 (1943). No lawsuits to my knowledge.
Liberal use of syncopated and rootless chords.
