This collection contains both sets of British Patriotic Variations the great BEETHOVEN composed on 2 British melodies, 7 Variations on God Save The King WoO 78 composed in 1803 and 5 Variations on Rule, Britannia WoO 79 composed in 1804. God Save The King is the same melody for the American song My Country ’Tis Of Thee. Both sets of Variations are somewhat challenging to play and are on an intermediate level. As expected the Variations are very intricate and show the genius that is Beethoven. Delphinus, a Late Intermediate Piano Solo features playful staccato accompaniment in the right hand with cantabile melody in the left, and a contrasting contrapuntal section to tell the story. In ancient Greece a musician and poet called Arion was returning on a sea journey from a performance tour. The sailors threatened to rob Arion of his earnings and murder him. He made a request to play his lyre and sing one last song. His music attracted a pod of dolphins, who swam alongside the ship, leaping and smiling. Seizing his chance for escape, he leapt from the ship onto the back of a dolphin who carried him to safety. Therefore the dolphin was honoured and placed in the sky near the constellation Lyra. Delphinus the Dolphin is easy to see near the summer triangle as a small diamond shape with a tail. 2-Part Invention No. 12 in A major by J.S. BACH, BWV 783 for Solo Piano. This is the original version of the beloved 15 2-Part Inventions by Johann Sebastian Bach. The Inventions is a collection of short pieces Bach wrote for the musical education of his young pupils. These are among the finest examples of artistic gems ever written for this purpose, and probably because of this, they became very popular among Bach's pupils and others ever since they were written.

The work comprises fifteen two-part, each named 'inventio', and fifteen three-part pieces, named 'sinfonia'. These two groups of pieces are arranged in an identical fashion-in ascending order by key-so that there is little doubt that Bach's intention was to bring them together as a single work. This is also confirmed by the way they are carefully written in his autograph fair copy penned in 1723. On every facing page of an open volume each piece demonstrates the contrapuntal technique, while, at the same time, explores a wide range of musical expressions using various styles and developing the motives in a logical fashion.
