Schein's perhaps best known work is a collection of instrumental suites he published in 1617 entitled Banchetto Musicale (Musical Banquet). The instrumentation for these suites is not specified in the score. Although Schein does write in his preface that he prefers to have viols included, this arrangemnet is for solo keyboard.
