Whether you want to play it yourself, or just follow Dudley Moore´s magnificient interpretation: This is an “as close as you can possibly get� transcription of Moore´s version in the bar scene from the movie (hence the video link). Played like this, an instrumental version can tell a whole story. There is another, later version (from 1987, I think) in a Henry Mancini TV-show where Moore played it slightly differently. However, I prefer the movie version. I especially admire Dudley Moore for his articulate use of the middle voice played with the left hand. Duration: approx 04.00 min. Advanced level. The memorable song, which was nearly cut from the movie, was sung by Audrey Hepburn in the movie “BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS.”I was inspired to create this piano arrangement of MOON RIVER for my dear friends Judy and Milt who celebrated their wedding anniversary on June 30, 2024. This was their song 56 years ago.This Intermediate piano solo arrangement is written in the key of C and then modulates to the key of E Flat.
