William P. Snyder (November 7, 1916 – Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, May 11, 2011) was an American pianist, bandleader and songwriter of the 1950s.

Snyder studied under Moriz Rosenthal in Paris and served in the Air Force during the Second World War. Snyder first had a massive hit with Lorenz Hart's Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered in 1950. Through the 1950s, Snyder was America's most recorded light music pianist with nine gold and one platinum awards for his singles and albums.

Cocktails for Two is a song from the Big Band era, written by Arthur Johnston and Sam Coslow. The song debuted in the movie Murder at the Vanities (1934), where it was introduced by the Danish singer and actor Carl Brisson. Duke Ellington's version of the song was recorded in 1934 and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2007.

The song alludes to Repeal, the ending of Prohibition in the United States. The introduction begins with:

Oh what delight to
Be given the right to
Be carefree and gay once again.
No longer slinking,
Respectably drinking
Like civilized ladies and men.

Composed by Kevin O. Liou. Contemporary,Standards. Score. 1 pages. Kevin O. Liou #5800979. Published by Kevin O. Liou (A0.1032916).

Easy piano tune that sounds like a cross between a march and a sea shanty. It is designed to help the beginner learn about how triplets can be used in a melodic line. This is a good piece for a Intermediate or beginner student to play and learn to memorize, as its left hand and right hand patterns are repeated often throughout the piece of music. Played at a presto tempo, the piece will be about 1:10. Practice suggestions for beginner will be to memorize the right hand melody with the triplet tune portions before pairing it with the more mechanical left hand harmony. Programming suggestion would be to have this as a solo piece for a beginner student who might play a slower piece to complement this one. The best way to contact the composer is via email at kevinliou1014@gmail.com. The composer is about to put together a Youtube channel, but it is yet to come.

Composed by Melchior Franck. Arranged by Thomas Gunther. Christmas,Holiday,Jazz. Score. 3 pages. Thomas Gunther Music Productions #741265. Published by Thomas Gunther Music Productions (A0.1141012).

This is a solo piano arrangement for advanced jazz and classical pianists. It features rich jazz harmony. The sheet music includes 100% correct jazz chord symbols. Arranger Thomas Gunther about his arrangement: The original song is based on a very simple harmonic progression. In contrast, my version features advanced jazz harmonization techniques resulting in unexpected harmonic twists and turns. I recommend this arrangement for (intermediate-advanced) jazz and classical pianists alike. Jazz pianists will love the included jazz chord symbols, which help them with analyzing and memorizing the arrangement. The arrangement is also great for classical pianists who love jazz, but do not know how to create an arrangement from lead sheet. They can easily apply their classical technique and musical knowledge to my arrangement. Studying my arrangement can greatly enhance your knowledge about jazz harmony. By The Carpenters. By John Bettis and Richard Carpenter. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Film/TV,Pop,Rock,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 2 pages. Timothy Stapay #855346. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1262310).

A piano solo arrangement of Yesterday Once More;  made famous by The Carpenters.

Yesterday Once More, written by Richard Carpenter and John Bettis, is a hit song by the Carpenters from their 1973 album Now & Then. Thematically the song concerns reminiscing about songs of a generation gone by. It segues into a long medley, consisting of eight covers of 1960s tunes incorporated into a faux oldies radio program. The work takes up the entire B-side of the album.

The single version of the song peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, kept from the number 1 spot by Bad, Bad Leroy Brown by Jim Croce.  It was the duo's fifth number two hit and makes them the act with the second-most number two hits on the chart behind Madonna. The song also peaked at number 1 on the easy listening chart, becoming their eighth number 1 on that chart in four years.   It is the Carpenters' biggest-selling record worldwide and their best-selling single in the UK, peaking at number 2 Richard Carpenter stated, on a Japanese documentary, that it was his favorite of all the songs that he had written. He has performed an instrumental version at concerts.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
When I was young, I'd listen to the radio
Waitin' for my favorite songs
When they played, I'd sing along
It made me smile

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Those were such happy times
And not so long ago
How I wondered where they'd gone
But they're back again
Just like a long-lost friend
All the songs I loved so well

[Chorus 1]
Every sha-la-la-la
Every whoa, whoa-oh still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
That they're starting to sing so fine
When they get to the part
Where he's breaking her heart
It can really make me cry
Just like before, it's yesterday once more
(Shoobie-doo, lang, lang)
(Shoobie-doo, lang, lang)

[Verse 2]
Lookin' back on how it was in years gone by
And the good times that I had
Makes today seem rather sad
So much has changed

[Pre-Chorus 2]
It was songs of love
That I would sing to them
And I'd memorize each word
Those old melodies
Still sound so good to me
As they melt the years away

[Chorus 2]
Every sha-la-la-la
Every whoa, whoa-oh still shines
(Only oldies, but goodies)
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
That they're starting to sing so fine
All my best memories
Come back clearly to me
Some can even make me cry
Just like before, it's yesterday once more
(Shoobie-doo, lang, lang)

[Outro]
Every sha-la-la-la
Every whoa, whoa-oh still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
That they're starting to sing so fine
Every sha-la-la-la
Every whoa, whoa-oh still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
That they're starting to sing so fine...
