I am a Singaporean pianist and composer. I have studied the piano since 5 years old under Mr Joseph Toh and I graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a Diploma in Music in 2013, majoring in Music Composition under Malaysian composer Mr Chong Kee Yong and Singaporean composer Mrs Joyce Koh Bee Tuan.

About Sky I & II

This set of short pieces is composed in 2013.

Sky I is a piece of chance music. This piece is composed using the I-Ching, which is one of the compositional tools by the famous US composer, John Cage. I chose a total of 37 out of the 64 notes for this piece, of which they are deduced from the hexagram in the I-Ching.

Sky II is a piece derived from Sky I, hence one can say Sky I is the fundamental of Sky II. The note values of Sky II are the opposite of Sky I. This means that a short note value in Sky I is actually represented in Sky II as a longer note value. the range of the notes in Sky II are translated accordingly to Sky I.

Sky I & II is dedicated to my piano teacher and uncle, Mr Joseph Toh.

Always loved this part of the Sonata. I confess, I added 4 bars of arrangement (I hope Haydn will forgive)) and finished in E Major, instead E Minor.

I'm Always Chasing Rainbows is a popular Vaudeville song. The music is credited to Harry Carroll, but the melody is adapted from Fantaisie-Impromptu by FrÃ©dÃ©ric Chopin. The lyrics were written by Joseph McCarthy, and the song was published in 1917. It was introduced in the Broadwayshow Oh, Look! which opened in March 1918.[1] The song was sung in the show by the Dolly Sisters.[1] Judy Garland sang it in the 1941 film Ziegfeld Girl. It was subsequently sung by Jack Oakie in the 1944 film The Merry Monahans and was again featured in the 1945 film The Dolly Sisters (1945 in film), where it was sung by John Payne.[1] It was also included for part of the run (and in the cast album) of the 1973 revival of Irene.

The song is a true popular standard, recorded by many artists over the years.
