when they bring  me on vacation

because the seventh and turned just do not know do not

chronically  ill

and I’m  hopeless

But I do not want drugs

forgetting every problem,

big trouble or task

chronically ill

of my own addiction

which infects, spreads

and  enters into his life

and I bare his  essence

while  listening  him  solmizate

Reflections is a musical musing on two very different places I’ve lived. From the ages of twelve to eighteen, I lived in rural Virginia. Our house was located on a five-acre plot of land with few neighbors. The first movement (On a Country Morning) portrays the quiet, slow, early morning of the country. The birds start singing and the sun rises to greet the day. At eighteen, I ventured off to college in a very different environment - a large city. The second movement (On a City Afternoon) conjures up the image of a hustling and bustling city center, full of life and excitement.

It opens with a comfortable theme that wanders ever further into an unplanned, improvised wilderness only to return to familiar ground. The French title suggests our very serious pretentiousness.

B section arpeggios sweep over the piano representing flying. Form:ABA; BRONTOSAURUS lumbers through the forest using answering open fifths between the hands and at times answered by RH breaking up triad; begins both hands in bass clef, Form: ABA coda, the coda represents chase as he valiantly tries to escape being the lunch of Tyrannosaurus by running into the nearest lake at the end to escape, this ends in a sweeping glissando as he dives; STEGOSAURUS is in a fun mood and dances to a Latin rhythm. With hands in unison in intro, the LH takes the melody in A section, reversing in B section presenting RH to have melody w/LH accompaniment. Form: intro ABA coda, in B harmonic minor.
