Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1163477 By Peter Saltzman. By Peter Saltzman. Classical,Contemporary,Jazz. Score. 6 pages. Salt Muse, Inc #763812. Published by Salt Muse, Inc (A0.1163477). The third in a set of 12 preludes I wrote in the early 1990s, recorded in 1995. Walking Aimlessly with Purpose sums up the mood. It is driven by a walking jazz-style base, over which several motifs attempt to develop. There are as many as four staves here. Yes, I could have put the two upper parts on the standard treble staff, but it would have been a mess to read. You can listen to my original recordings of the first three preludes here, along with some etudes and other written virtuoso jazzy works from the same period. I plan to record and publish the remaining nine preludes this year (2023.) Stay tuned for that...

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.885159 By Renee Hyche McKee. By Renee Hyche McKee. New Age,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Traditional,Wedding. Score. 28 pages. Renee H. McKee #491468. Published by Renee H. McKee (A0.885159). Classically-trained pianists are often asked to “play some quiet background music†which is non-invasive, that will support the event without bringing attention to the music itself, and can be brought to a graceful close quickly. “What to play?†is not the only challenge, but also, “What do I do if I run out of music before the event is done?†or, How can I bring a piece to a close if I'm told to stop playing before the piece is over?†“HELP! I can't improvise! I offer you a set of beautiful phrases that are uniquely purposed to fill these needs - and more. Peaceful Measures is a set of twelve four-measure, repeatable, interchangeable phrases with very little melodic distraction. Start with any phrase that suits your need, such as background music for a pastoral prayer. Repeat one phrase indefinitely or flow directly to any other. Skip around. Each phrase leads to all others, and all lead to your choice of two clearly labeled Endings. Because this download includes the seven most commonly used major keys, Peaceful Measures can also be used as vamping material until the song you are accompanying is ready to sing. Or use a phrase to extend a song in order to continue its mood. Print only the pages of the key you need now, or the whole set for quick referrals later. Explore their flexibility for other purposes, such as the passing of Communion for example: find your favorite phrases to repeat, then flow into the Ending that will serve the best timing. Need quiet music filler for an unknown length of time? Choose a phrase and repeat, then go to an Ending of your choice. Everything is written out for easy navigation and on-the-spot reading. The recording I have included is a series of phrases, some repeated, in F Major and uses Ending I. Pianists will discover even more settings for these versatile phrases! Not only are they great for worship services of any faith, they serve as background music for speeches, funeral prelude music, dedications of any kind, wedding filler music, civil ceremonies, personal prayer, and calming meditation music for groups large or small. For some, the most enjoyable thing is to just play them randomly and enjoy the calm they bring for yourself. It is my heart’s desire that these lovelies will serve you, the pianist, the one who is so often called upon to serve others. Blessings, - Renee PS I've included a bonus page that has an extended version of one of the phrases. Enjoy!

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.898025 Composed by Gustav Mahler. Arranged by Tiziano de Felice. 20th Century. Score. 11 pages. Tiziano de Felice #3411679. Published by Tiziano de Felice (A0.898025). Piano transcription of the 3rd movement from Mahler's 1st SymphonyMahler’s 1st Symphony represents a gigantic narration of nature’s power, starting from its birth out of the inorganic up towards a grueling struggle between the good and the evil of all living beings. The 1st movement brings in fact the famous indication Wie ein Naturlaut (like a natural sound) which is rendered melodically with the interval of descending 4th (the interval symbol of man); the course of nature passes from brighter areas to darker ones but manages to flow into the 2nd movement, which is a decisive and sure triumph of life, a feeling ripe with flourishing and fruitfulness.  The 3rd movement is the moment in which the destructive and deadly aspect of nature appears more clear than ever, a movement showing what Freud called the Das Unheimlich which Mahler represents by inserting the melody of the song Frère Jacques (Brother John), repurposed in a minor key like a macabre and grotesque funeral march. This existential laceration will recompose itself in the 4h and last movement, in which the final struggle between the negative and the positive force of nature will take place. The transcription is of medium/advanced level, and it includes as much music as possible from Mahler's original score. It is also useful for study purposes at the piano if paired with the orchestral score.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818342 Composed by Darlene Zschech. Arranged by Stephen R. Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 18 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #6252777. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818342). The Potter’s Hand ♫ by Darlene Zschech ♫ with Spirit of God Descend Upon My Heart (lyrics by George Croly, melody MORECAMBE by Frederick C Atkinson) ♫ piano solo arrangement by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ With the images of the potter, the clay, and the pottery vessel, Isaiah answers the age-old question “What claim does God have on my life?†Nothing we see, hear, taste, smell, or feel would exist without the Creator. Neither you nor I would or could exist without Him. As a painter, sculptor, composer, designer etc. creates a masterwork for his or her own purposes, so we have a purpose beyond ourselves and our existence. ♫ But the images in Isaiah of the potter go beyond the functionality of the created objects, and the purpose and rights of the artisan. Darlene Zschech brings out the beauty and glory of being the masterwork of a true artist. ♫ A song of commitment and consecration, we need songs like this in our repertoire of worship, to urge us to go beyond the words of worship to the giving of our lives in worship. ♫ If our current worship music wasn’t so disposable, we’d be singing this song for many years to come. ♫ slide presentation by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ This .pdf file includes 2 files: 1) Letter size piano score 2) Small page piano score for performing from a 10 inch tablet. (Tell your computer which pages you want to print. You can find programs online that will allow you to split pdf files so that you can choose the correct part of the pdf for your tablet.) ♫ The YouTube video contains the full recording.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.955396 Composed by Neal Fitzpatrick. Contemporary,Instructional,World. Score. 3 pages. Neal Fitzpatrick Editions #6019653. Published by Neal Fitzpatrick Editions (A0.955396). This is Impromptu No.5 For Piano From Twenty Impromptus For Piano by Neal Fitzpatrick. There is a long tradition of arranging piano music for guitar. This edition reverses that tradition. This set of music for piano is based my Twenty Etudes For Guitar. The guitar and the piano are certainly cousins so I believe the essence of works for one instrument can be expressed on the other, in either direction. While these pieces may in fact work as etudes for piano I have purposefully renamed them. Whether or not they work as etudes I will leave up to each individual pianist and piano teacher the extent of their didactic usefulness. Ultimately though all music can be used for study and my wish is these pieces can be used for study and performance. They are relatively brief and ideally played in sets, the number and selections being determined by the performer. Guitarist Neal Fitzpatrick has a B.M. from the Hartt School where he studied with Alan Spriestersbach and his M.M. from The Yale School of Music where he studied with Benjamin Verdery. He also studied  extensively with Sharon Isbin and Sal Salvador. Based in Connecticut, he is active as a soloist and in the chamber music scene.
