Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1404521 Composed by Noel Gay and Ralph Butler. Arranged by Martyn Clive Johnson (aka Martycli Piano Guy). 20th Century,Comedy,Jazz,Ragtime,Standards. Score. 9 pages. Martyn Johnson #987601. Published by Martyn Johnson (A0.1404521). This song was written in 1939 by Noel Gay and Ralph Butler and popularised by Flanagan and Allen, the music hall duo. It was written for the Noel Gay show 'The Little Dog Laughed'. It's a fun song that apparently was one of Winston Churchill's favourites. So my arrangement is a tribute to Bud, Chesney and Winston! My version features a left hand stride piano/ragtime style and goes through the keys of C and F major. There are lots of stride idioms and riffs in the right hand from the likes of Scott Joplin, Fats Waller and early jazz styles as well as popular pianists such as Russ Conway and Winnifred Attwell. If you have problems with the 10ths in the bass just play octaves or single bass notes instead or possibly 'rolling' or 'bouncing' them ie playing one note and jumping as quickly as possible to the next so as to play almost simultaneously.I don't notate dynamics, fingering or pedalling and prefer to leave these to the discretion of the individual pianist as no two teachers ever agree on such matters.Hope you have as much fun playing it as I did arranging it.

The RIGHT HAND plays from Middle C to high C.  This arrangement is ideal for introducing classic Christian songs to piano students. It is a great addition to the supplementary repertoire for students after they have mastered the basics of music notation and note reading. This arrangement is also great for sight-reading practice and perfect for small keyboards.  Requiring only two octaves, it provides the opportunity for additional practice and enjoyment even when a full-sized keyboard is not available. This arrangement is one of the 20 songs in the collection titled 20 Easy Christian Classics, BOOK 1 (Two Octave, Early-Intermediate Piano Solos). Visit Sharon Wilson's website: https://www.SharonWilsonMusic.com/Subscribe to her YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/@SharonWilsonMusic

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742463 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Arte Nova Music Lab. Baroque,Concert,Standards. Score. 3 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #4325813. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742463). Henry Purcell c. 10 September 1659– 21 November 1695) was an English composer. Although incorporating Italian and French stylistic elements into his compositions, Purcell's legacy was a uniquely English form of Baroque music. He is generally considered to be one of the greatest English composers; no later native-born English composer approached his fame until Edward Elgar, Ralph Vaughan Williams, William Walton and Benjamin Britten in the 20th century.
