Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.947474 Composed by Stephanie Florentino. 20th Century,Children,Christmas,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 9 pages. Stephanie Rae Florentino #5206585. Published by Stephanie Rae Florentino (A0.947474). This whimsical, stirring piano solo takes the listener on an unforgettable journey through the wardrobe, into the fantastic world of Narnia as first experienced by the Pevensie children in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by C. S. Lewis. At times tender and sweet, at other times thrilling and passionate, the music offers a moving glimpse into a world that is cursed to endure endless winter, without the warmth or joy of Christmas.Stephanie is a piano teacher, composer and performer in north Texas. She studied piano performance at Hill College (Hillsboro, TX) and Tarleton State University (Stephenville, TX), and is also the second place winner of the 2007 Lorenzo de Medici Piano and Voice Competition held in Tuscania, Italy.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.864794 Composed by Sam M. Lewis and Victor Young. Arranged by Dan Severino. Contemporary. Score. 6 pages. Piano Teacher Press #5216007. Published by Piano Teacher Press (A0.864794). Sam, You Made the Pants Too Long is a very humorous song about a tailor that made a client a perfect outfit except for one minor detail, ..... the pants were too long!! This song follows the pattern of a Recitative-Aria. The first dozen bars are rather declamatory exclaiming the problem. This story is immediately elaborated in the shuffle rhythm of the song. This arrangement tries to capture the humor and irony of the lyrics. A good performance will require a lot of wit and dynamism. The Recitative can be done very freely, but the Song (Aria) need to keep a steady rhythm with a lot of punch at the climax points. Play the middle section of the song in a more relaxed manner and in the final repetition of the main theme be your most expressive. End strong. This arrangement therefore has a lot of teaching value making students use their imagination in crafting a good interpretation and telling a story.  Sam , You Made the Pants Too Long is a great novelty piece for a number that would especially stand out at a recital. It's also a great piece for a social gathering.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.905609 By Ost (original Soundtrack). By George Fenton. Arranged by Mareva Music (arranger: Peter Rodney Hibbert. Contemporary. Score. 3 pages. Peter Rodney Hibbert #4627615. Published by Peter Rodney Hibbert (A0.905609). The beautiful music for the award winning movie Shadowlands was written by George Fenton. Neither the original orchestral score nor a piano arrangement has previously been published. The simplicity of the lyrical music belies a complex structure of multiple changes in time-signatures, which require great accuracy on the part of the arranger in writing an arrangement. However, this should not present a problem to the pianist if a steady pulse is maintained, assisted by the slow tempo of the music. The original music provided a wonderful background to the story of romance and love that blossomed between the English writer C.S. Lewis and his close friend, Joy Davidman, tragically cut short by her early death.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1456693 By Jennifer Oleksy. By Jennifer Oleksy. New Age. Score. 3 pages. Jennifer Oleksy #1035762. Published by Jennifer Oleksy (A0.1456693). This song was inspired by Patti Callahan's novel, Once Upon a Wardrobe.  If this book had a soundtrack, this is my idea of it.  It's a story of faith - faith in finding meaning, faith in a beloved story, and faith even in the face of loss.  The song reflects the magic inherent in the stories of Narnia (Callahan's novel centers around C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia) and the hope of an ailing little boy to find out where the story comes from.  It lends emphasis to the idea that although the Narnia stories are fiction, there is indeed much to be found therein that IS real.  And as a young mathemetician surprises herself to find meaning in something not based in logic, so does the listener realize that even when we think we have found the truth of where the story begins, we are only just beginning and there is more to find.
