Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.835344 Arranged by Claudio Rosati. Christmas,Folk,Holiday,Pop. Score. 7 pages. Claudio Rosati #6666169. Published by Claudio Rosati (A0.835344). From Wikipedia:Popular song, particularly in the English-speaking world. The text (not included in the score) is a Scots-language poem written by Robert Burns in 1788 but based on an older Scottish folk song. In 1799, it was set to a traditional tune, which has since become standard.Robert Burns sent a copy of the original song to the Scots Musical Museum in 1788 with the remark, The following song, an old song, of the olden times, and which has never been in print, nor even in manuscript until I took it down from an old man. Some of the lyrics were indeed collected rather than composed by the poet; the ballad Old Long Syne printed in 1711 by James Watson shows considerable similarity in the first verse and the chorus to Burns' later poem, and is almost certainly derived from the same old song. This piano solo arrangement is for an advanced intermediate player. Its was driven by a single note always repeated during the whole piece.Performing Rights Organisation: SIAE (Italy), IPI: 00459688194, CAE: I-002214414-3 Contact: claudio.rosati@mac.com

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1175864 Composed by Trad. American. Arranged by Paul Taylor. Barbershop,Folk,Historic. Score. 2 pages. Paul Taylor #775986. Published by Paul Taylor (A0.1175864). All of us probably have attended gatherings, where things went along a little bit too long. The result of course was that we might start nodding off, as the title indicates.  I found only the tune and two verses in an old Glee Club anthology in my great Grandfather's affects some years ago.  The words are included in case the pianists would like to sing the lyrics as they play. There is some evidence to support that some portions of the lyrics appeared in a poem of Robert Burns, the Scottish poet, . Other tunes from the mid 18th century where traces of this tune can be found in the tunes, Nid Noddin, The Whigs are Rinnen, General Scott asleep and quartz on the brain (we're all cranky, mad, mad, cranky)..
We are all a Nod-din"
